那是一個雨後的早晨。我和幾個女同學一塊兒上學，路上又遇見了她。她似乎預感到我們又要嘲笑她，於是低著頭，默默地閃在一邊。我往她身上一看，嘿，真個發現新大陸了！我嚷嚷起來：「喲，今天『土同學』怎麼『新潮』起來了？穿一套新的花衣裳呢！還有新鞋哦！」其他同學隨之也嘰嘰喳喳起來。她那身衣服，雖是新的，但穿在她身上還是有那麼一點兒「土」味。而那雙白鞋，對她來說，可是最好的了。

我們一夥繼續走著，她默默地跟在我們後面。沒多久，我們停住了。前面的一小截路是泥路。一下雨，地上滿是泥漿，爛稀稀的。一個同學建議道：「找些磚頭來，一塊塊鋪過去就行了。」最後還少不了諷刺那站在一邊的她兩句，「可千萬不要弄臟人家的新鞋子喔，哈……」我們笑著，散開去尋找磚頭。她仍站在那兒，一動沒動，定定地望著幾米長的稀泥路。我們找了一會兒，可這兒除了泥漿和雜草，一塊斷磚也沒有，我們只有干著急。
一直沒有出聲的她，一腳踩入泥漿中，又左右挪了挪，「你們跟著我走吧！」啊！她是為我們踩出一條路，為的是我們在後面走時，腳印的空間大些，不容易沾上泥。可她那雙鞋，那雙她剛穿的新鞋，卻變成了「泥鞋。我們驚呆了，沒想到她竟會這樣做。好一陣子才醒悟過來，便隨著她的腳印一步一步向前走。
快走出這一截泥路時，她突然腳下一滑，跌坐在泥漿中，新褲子濺滿了泥。同伴們都站著不敢動。不知是一股什麼力量，促使我不顧泥漿，走到她面前，伸出手去拉她。她正要把滿是泥的手遞給我，卻又猶豫了，忽地縮了回去。她憨笑道：「我……我的手太臟了。」
回到學校，大家見她下半身全是泥，越發譏笑：「你可真是個名副其實的『土鄉巴』呀！」她默默回到座位上什麼話也沒有說。這時，我的心頭升起了一種異樣的感覺。
從這件事我感到了她淳樸和高尚，此後便十分敬佩她。現在雖然我與她離別幾年了，但她給我留下的印象是不可磨滅的。她教會我應如何待人，她成了我生活中的榜樣。
