有一次英語晚自習，打了鈴之後班裡仍是像炸了鍋一樣熱鬧，吵架的、打架的、嬉笑的、k歌的，應有盡有，無所不有。我正奇怪英語老師為什麼還沒來，此人就出現在教室門口了。班裡頓時鴉雀無聲。一同來的，還有班主任。班主任留下了「站一晚上」的「聖旨」後揚長而去。我們在下面悔得腸子都青了，同時也深感不服。這就是自討苦吃吧，我想。
正想著，忽然發現英語老師也站在講台上。過了一會兒，她說：「其實今天的事我也有責任。我來晚了。可是大家真的很亂，從四個班走過來，最亂的就是咱們班了……我也陪你們站，大家誰都別坐了，好嗎？」她嚴肅的表情上找不到任何的虛偽，我們都為之感動，就差鼓掌了。結果那個晚上，她真的一邊站著一邊看書，根本沒坐下過。我們誰也沒好意思偷懶，就憑她那晚的那番話和行為，我們願意站十個晚上來奉還。
