這時候，媽媽正在招呼親戚入座，我趕緊找了個位置坐下，眼睛直勾勾地看著桌子上的美味，順手就拿起筷子伸到盤子里，可是剛准備夾起一塊雞翅，媽媽就按住了我的手，和顏悅色地對我說：「孩子，應該讓長輩先動筷子。」

我只好把拿筷子的手縮回去。姥姥笑眯眯地看著我說：「大家一起吃吧!」姥姥一放話，一塊雞翅立馬就被我夾到盤子里，我津津有味地吃了起來。客人走後，媽媽又給我講了一番「飯桌禮儀」。

今年元旦，我去參加媽媽的同學聚會。菜都上齊了，可人還沒有來齊。大家都在等一位姍姍來遲的叔叔。

當時，我是多麼想夾一塊又香又嫩的牛蛙呀!可是，我想起了媽媽在家教我的道理，於是控制住了自己。旁邊有一位阿姨說：「紫安，你先吃點兒吧。」

我說：「謝謝阿姨，不用了，等會兒咱們一起吃吧。」我耐心地等到人都坐齊了，才和大家一起開始吃。叔叔阿姨不住地誇講我懂規矩，習慣好。

「勿以善小而不為，勿以惡小而為之」。好的習慣往往是從小養成的，從一點一滴做起。我家的這條家規實際上是一種謙讓，對長輩謙讓是一種孝道和美德，對別人謙讓可以贏得大家的信任和贊揚。
