（三）要加強思想方面的積累。觀點是文章的靈魂。文章中心不明確，或立意不深刻，往往說明作者思想膚淺。因此，有必要建立「思想庫」。方法有二：第一要善思。「多一份思考，多一份收獲。」平時要深入思考，遇事多問問「為什麼」、「是什麼」、「怎麼樣」。這樣就能透過現象看本質。還要隨時把思維的「火花」、思索的結論記錄下來。第二要輯錄，也就是要摘錄名人名言，格言警句等。
總之，作文要加強積累，建立好「語匯庫」、「素材庫」、「思想庫」這三大寫作倉庫，並要定期盤點、整理、分門別類，且要不斷充實、擴容。

二、寫好作文先學會觀察

魯迅先生在回答文學青年「如何才能寫出好文章」的問題時強調了兩點：一是多看，二是多練。這里的「多看」即指多觀察。這就說明：要寫好文章，要掌握嫻熟的文章寫作手法，就要多觀察，學會觀察，觀察是寫作的必要前提和基礎。
