充分准備。打好基礎。

以書信格式提供情景的，注重「格式」。要明白英文書信格式與中文有所不同。正確的格式是：信紙右上角是寫信人的地址和日期，地址按從小到大順序排列，左邊頂格寫收信人姓名，然後寫正文、祝願、寫信人簽名。

動筆前

審題、圈要點、列提綱、定基調一個不能少

「在動筆做題前要心裡有數，這樣才能不至於走彎路。」趙娜說，尤其要在審題、圈要點、列提綱、定基調這幾方面，做足功課，然後才能事半功倍，易得高分。

審題目要切中題意。審題要審格式、體裁、人物關系、故事情節、主體時態、活動時間、地點等。看清題目要求後，在腦中構思框架或畫面，確定中心思想。

圈要點防止遺漏要點。要點是給分的重要因素。要充分發揮觀察力，把情景中給出的要點逐條列出。

列提綱為寫作做好准備。根據短文的中心思想，將主要句型、關鍵詞語記下，形成提綱。

定基調。即定出時態、人稱、順序、開頭、結尾。

遣詞造句，表達規范。

用詞要適當，不可逐句把提示漢譯英，亦不可生拼硬湊，不要硬拿英語單詞到中文句子里去對號，否則寫出中文式英語，鬧出笑話。一般來講，寫作時，應盡量選出你有把握的詞，盡量使用短句。如果有的單詞不會寫，有的思想不會用英語表達，你可以設法繞開，最好找一個同義詞、同義句，或近義詞、片語短語來代替。在關聯詞是使用上，要切題意，最好准備幾個不是很常用的關聯詞，可以起到增強新鮮感的作用。

修改潤色，錦上添花。

作文寫完之後，一定要檢查修改，修改時必須從全局修改。首先要檢查主題是否明確，表達方式是否恰當，接下來檢查所寫內容是否切題，該交待的內容是否交待了，最後檢查所用時態、人稱是否符合要求，最後是否一致。

注意事項
寫完後，還應仔細校閱1-2遍。校閱要逐詞逐句進行，注意檢查語法、拼寫、標點、大小寫等方面的錯誤。校閱是自檢的最後一關，應嚴肅認真的進行，盡可能地消滅一切差錯，增強文章的效果。
