我最喜歡的昆蟲是知了。知了有兩個名字，又叫知了又叫蟬。知了是夏天常見的小動物，它有六隻腳，前腳是彎彎的大刀，可以當作它的武器，它的每一隻腳上有一個勾子。知了的翅膀像有裂縫的玻璃。知了小時候是在地下的，長大的時候才鑽出來，聽說它的殼還能做葯呢！知了的食物是樹枝里的汁，只要嘴巴上的那根管插上去，就能痛痛快快地吸汁了。知了爸爸的肚子下面有一個能叫的「馬達」，只要一摁就可以叫起來，它的聲音很響亮，三十米外都能聽得很清楚。
我常常和小朋友去抓知了，我們來到大樹底下，看見樹上有很多知了。有一次，刮風的時候有一隻知了飛下來，被我抓住了。我把它放進一個大瓶蓋里，然後放進裝滿水的盆里，它就爬到水裡去了。我心裡想：可能它想喝水吧。沒想到它是下去游泳的，它還會潛水呢！它在水裡拍拍小翅膀，再潛到水裡，它在水裡叫，水裡冒出很多泡泡。我把它從水裡拿出來，它就不叫了。當我把它放在地上，它像陀螺一樣的轉動，翅膀張開了，就快樂地唱起歌來。
