1、在整篇文章中，避免只是用一兩個句式，要靈活運用各種句式。如倒裝句、強調句、省略句、主從復合句、對比句、分詞短語、介詞短語等。

2、使用不同長度的句子，通過分句和合句，增強句子的連貫性和表現力。

3、改變句子的開頭方式，不要一味以主、謂、賓、狀的次序。可以把狀語置於句首，或用分詞短語等。

英語考試作文試題的一個最大的特點就是時限性，即在有限的時間內按試題要求完成作文試題。
有很多參試者最後交卷時作文題要麼沒有完成要麼質量比較差，這其中當然有很多原因，但不可忽視的一點原因便是寫作文時間不夠來不及完成作文或來不及仔細思考寫一篇合乎題目要求的文章。
英語作文試題一般要求字數在120字左右，段落一般為三段，因而有「三段論」一說。
所謂「三段論」即全文分為三個自然段，一般結構為「首段擺事實、提觀點，在這一部分參試者最好將題目要求中的第一個要點作為首段的內容之一；
