Credit Cards
Personal credit cards are becoming more common in China. Banks and other financial institutions are encouraging their customers to change the way they buy things. Credit cards, otherwise known as 「plastic money」, are being offered on very good terms to encourage the change. Consumers will be able to 「buy now, pay later」, and many see this as an advantage.
But people need to be careful. There are dangers associated with credit cards. Some people find it very easy to exceed their budget. They are tempted to purchase goods that they do not really need, and can become quickly overburdened by debt. The credit cards often charge a high rate of interest, which exacerbates the problems for these people.
However, used wisely credit cards can improve the quality of people』s lives. They can give people access to money to meet sudden unplanned expenses. Properly handled, they can let people control their expenditure and the monthly statements provide a record of where their money has gone.

Although so many graates are eager to set feet on their work-life road, there are still some who prefer to start their new life after gaining another degree to make better preparation for entering society. I have met so many friends in my college life. They have exerted enormous influence on my life. However, one of my most impressive friends is my roommate, Li Ming.
In the class meeting on the first day of school, Li Ming did not impress us at all. We started to notice him because he was always late for classes. We were thus impressed by his laziness. I came to know him and his situation because we were roommates and spent much time together: his mother was seriously ill and sick abed in long-term, his father left him and his mother mercilessly. Hence, it was him that shouldered the heavy burden of taking care of his sick mother supporting the whole family. Finally, under great pressures, he balanced his life and study perfectly: he was no longer always late, took good care of his mother and even won the scholarship many years in a row.
The experience of Li Ming can be one of the most convincing cases of the power of persistence and will. He left a deep impression and imposed a rable influence on me. Indeed, friend such as him can be regarded as asset and property in our life. We have rights to choose our own friends, but we should also be prudent and sensible enough to choose friends who can bring us 「positive energy」.

The Most Beneficial Activity in My Campus
It is well known that university is greatly different from high school mainly e to that university will hold a large number of activities, which benefits college students a lot. From my perspective, the most beneficial one is 「Long-distance Running for Love」 organized by the Students Union when I am a freshman. The money collected by this activity is contributed to Project Hope.
It is really my honor to participate the long running, because it benefits me greatly not only in body but also in mind. To begin with, the activity reminds me of the great importance of physical health. Before I go to college, I only focus on academic achievements while the physical health misses my attention. But, the long-running tells me in time that a sound mind lies in a sound body. Additionally, ring my participation in this activity, I am informed well that there are still many children in rural areas who have to drop out of school because of impoverished families. Thus, for one thing, I fully realize the great importance of helping them fulfill their dreams. For another thing, I cherish the opportunity to study in university more, for when compared with those children in poverty-stricken areas, we should harbor a grateful heart.
By and large, although I have taken part in many campus activities, I deem the long running for love most beneficial to me. And I am looking forward to that more wonderful and meaningful activities will be held in our campus.

A course that has impressed you most in college
There are many courses in each college year. But the course which impressed me most in college is Advanced English Audio-Visual & Speaking. The reasons why I like this course are as follows.
The first reason is that I have learnt a lot from this course. My listening ability, speaking ability as well as translation ability has improved greatly after taking this course. The second reason is that I like the teacher of this course, Mr. Qin, very much. He is a charming gentleman with great patience. His oral English is perfect, sounding like American speakers. He treated us very strict but we still like him extremely.
Just as the proverb goes, 「A strict teacher proces outstanding students.」 Thanks to Mr. Qin』s guidance and teachings in this course, all my classmates have made great progress in English learning.

TO BE A SPECIALIST OR A GENERALIST ?
There are a great many careers in which the increasing emphasis is on specialization, and there is also an increasing demand for people who are capable of seeing the forest rather than the trees. We call the former & latter one "specialists" & "generalists" respectively.
The specialist understands one field; his concern is with technique & tools. He is a "trained" man; the generalist ——& especially the administrator-deals with people; his concern is with leadership, with planning, & with direction giving. He is an "ecated" man.
Any organization needs both kinds of people, though different organizations need them in different proportions.
It is your task to find out, ring your training period, into which of the two kinds of jobs you fit, & to plan your career accordingly.

Cybersickness
(Do you suffer from cybersickness It causes nausea while scrolling on phones),認識到智能手機可能會帶給我們的危害,希望它能警醒我們,讓我們能夠更加合理的使用智能手機。
Do you suffer from cybersickness It causes nausea while scrolling on phones
The rise of mobile phones has been blamed for a number of social ills, but your smart phone may also be making you physically sick as well. Scientists have identified a condition called 「cybersickness」, which they say is the digital version of motion sickness. The phenomenon, which affects up to 80 percent of the population who own smartphones or tablets, leads to feelings of nausea and unsteadiness. It is caused by seeing fast motion on a screen and covers anything from a car chase in a film to scrolling through web pages on your phone. The more realistic the visual content is, the higher your chances of getting cybersickness. The condition was identified in a piece in the New York Times in which British and US experts said that it needed addressing. Cyriel Diels, a cognitive psychologist and human factors researcher at Coventry University』s centre for Mobility and Transport, said: 「It』s a fundamental problem that』s kind of been swept under the carpet in the tech instry.」 「It』s a natural response to an unnatural environment.」 Motion sickness leaves sufferers feeling ill because they feel movement in your muscles and your inner ear but do not see it. The mismatch in digital sickness is the opposite—you see movement on the screen but do not feel it. The effect is the same and the symptoms include a headache, wanting to throw up, confusion and the need to sit down. Often cybersickness manifests itself in a subtle way and sufferers put it down to stress or eyestrain.Steven Rauch, a professor of otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School, said: 「Your sense of balance is different than other senses in that it has lots of inputs.」 When those inputs don』t agree, that』s when you feel dizziness and nausea 「Some studies that have been carried out into cybersickness found that women are more susceptible than men, the New York Times reported. Those who have Type A』 personalities—meaning they are confident and assertive—are more likely to suffer from cybersickness as well. Among those who have reported experiencing the condition have been video gamers who spend hours playing fast paced games. Cinema-goers have struggled with some scenes in action movies which have quick cuts and fast editing—and virtual reality has made the problem even worse. Jonathan Weinstein, a professor at the Kanbar Institute for Film and Television at New York University』s Tisch School of the Arts, said: 「The idea is to get audiences to feel like participants in the action rather than outside observers of the action. Engineers at Oculus VR, the virtual headset manufacturer, have admitted that digital motion sickness is one of their biggest problems.
