The booming tourist trade has brought about mass exchange of population between different nations. At first glance, this bridges the understanding and communication between different cultures. In my opinion, however, this fast-growing instry has proced tension between people from different cultural background.
The first barrier for curious tourists from all over the world is the problem of language. The most attractive destinations of tourism are, ironically, less developed areas where the world language --- English, has not been prevalent. Therefore, the direct contact between tourists and local residents has been cut down. The tour guide, normally interpreter too, becomes the only link of communication. But unfortunately, as indicated in any guide-training handbook, the responsibility of a tour guide is to arouse the tourists』 interest and passion rather than present a lecture on cultural difference. Thus, tourists, beyond their expectations, cannot fully understand the cultures which appears to be exotic.
Another obstacle is from the local government. As I argue before, in most of case, the 『local』 refers to the less developed regions. In order to attract foreign investment and maintain the local tourism instry, the officials, deliberately or not, only hope to show outsiders the positive side of the area, hence, the part of local living. As a result, concted tours are carefully censored. The tourists, or 『prisoners』 to some extent, are allowed to see only what the organizers want them to see and no more. A window-shop schele gives no opportunity to wander off on one』s own. In this way, even for a knowledgeable traveler with practical experience can only 『see』 the superficial of the local culture. If so, an instant misunderstanding will be falsely shaped.
All things considered, the international tourism contributes absolutely nothing to increasing understanding. Instead, in its way as it is today, a hideous prejudice and misinterpretation will be established.

英語專業的學生就不一樣拉，他們尋求表現力：
Stavation , misery and poverty(貧窮) are embracing tens of thousands of residents(居民) living in African coutries .（不簡單，不用人做主語，形象生動，句式有些復雜，用現在分詞做定語，詞彙量大，表現力強。）
所以寫作的時候要絞盡腦汁（rack your brain）來想出一些辦法增強表現力，但是這是一個長期的過程，不可能一蹴而就的！

1、本題滿分為15分。
2、閱卷標准共分五等：2分、5分、8分、11分及14分。各有標准樣卷一至二份。
3、閱卷人員根據閱卷標准，對照樣卷評分，若認為所閱文章與某一分數（如8分）相似，即定為該分數（即8分）；若認為所閱文章稍優或稍劣於該分數則可加一分（即9分）或減一分（即7分）。但不得加或減半分。
4、評分標准
2分—條理不清，思路紊亂，語言支離破碎或大部分句子均有錯誤，且多數為嚴重錯誤。
5分—基本切題。表達思想不清楚，連貫性差。有較多的嚴重語言錯誤。

要求120字，你寫多20字也正常，但以150為上限。

The classic tale of the tortoise and the hare reminds us that different people take life at different speeds and that one way is not necessarily superior to another. In fact, in the story it is the slower animal that ends up arriving at the destination first. Others need long periods of time to process their feelings and move into new states of awareness. For those of us who perceive ourselves as moving quickly, it can be painful and exasperating to deal with someone else's slower pace. People who take their time with things are probably in the minority in most of the world today. We live in a time when speed and proctivity are valued above almost anything else. Therefore, people who flow at a slower pace are out of sync with the world and are often pestered and prodded to go faster and do more. This can be not only frustrating but also counterproctive because the stress of being pushed to move faster than one is able to move actually slows progress. On the other hand, if a person's style is honored and supported, they will find their way in their own time and, just like the tortoise, they might just beat the speedier, more easily distracted person to the finish line.
It's important to remember that we are not actually in a race to get somewhere ahead of someone else, and it is difficult to judge by appearances whether one person has made more progress than another. Whether you count yourself among the fast movers or as one of the slower folks, we can all benefit from respecting the pace that those around us choose for themselves. This way, we can keep our eyes on our own journey, knowing that we will all end up together in the end.
