Ladies and Gentlemen , Good afternoon! I』m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is 「youth」. I hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
First I want to ask you some questions:
1、 Do you know what is youth?
2、 How do you master your youth?
Youth
Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to st .
Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being 『s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what』s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there』s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

我喜歡的一首詩
中國是詩的國度，每個朝代出來不會少了詩人。
李白、杜甫、白居易、蘇軾等等如浩瀚天際中一顆顆璀璨的明星。其中最明的那顆就是我喜歡的詩人——李白。
李白，字太白，唐朝著名詩人，被世人稱為「嘀仙」。我之所以會喜歡李白，是因為我喜歡他的一首詩，這首詩的名字就叫《望廬山瀑布》。
這是詩人李白五十歲左右隱居在廬山時寫的一首風景詩。這首詩形象地描繪了廬山瀑布雄奇的景色，反映了詩人對祖國大好河山的無限熱愛。
《望廬山瀑布》的第一句：日照香爐生紫煙。這句詩裡面的香爐是指廬山的香爐峰。此峰在廬山西北，形狀尖圓，像座香爐。由於瀑布飛瀉，水氣蒸騰而上，在麗日照耀下，彷彿有座頂天立地的香爐，冉冉升起了團團紫煙，一個「生」字把煙雲冉冉上升的景象描繪得生動形象。
第二句「遙看瀑布掛前川」。「遙看瀑布」四字照應了題目《望廬山瀑布》。「掛前川」是瀑布像一條巨大的白練從懸崖直掛到前面的河流上，「掛」字化動化靜，惟妙惟肖地寫出遙望中懸掛的瀑布。
第三句「飛流直下三千尺」是從近處細致地描寫瀑布。「飛流」表現瀑布凌空而出，噴涌飛瀉。「直下」既寫出岩壁的陡峭，又寫出水流之急。「三千尺」極力誇張，寫出山的高峻。
這樣寫詩人覺得還沒把瀑布的雄奇氣勢表現得淋漓盡致，於是在這句前寫了「疑是銀河落九天。」說這「飛流直下」的瀑布，使人懷疑是銀河從九天傾瀉下來。一個「疑」，用得空靈活潑，若真若幻，引人遐想，增添了瀑布的神氣色彩。
這首詩極其成功地運用比喻、誇張和想像，構思奇特，語言生動形象，蘇東坡十分贊賞這首詩，說：「帝遣銀河一脈垂，古來唯有滴仙詞。」《望廬山瀑布》的確是狀物寫景和抒情的範例。這又不禁讓我贊賞「滴仙」李白的絕代文采。
