其實不難的。(我是大學英語老師，帶過學生考過四六級，也教過英語專業的學生，因此從英語教師的角度提供一些學習方法和考試建議：）
1、首先大家要樹立起信心，大學英語其實不難，主要就是增加單詞和片語以及各種的應用，語法上全是高中學過的。
2、對付四級考試最有效的辦法，就是從歷年真題入手（網路上可下載、或者去購買真題點評的書），學習步驟是（1）在規定時間內完成練習，核對答案，分析錯誤原因；（2）精讀聽力原文和閱讀了解的文章；（3）跟讀聽力；朗讀閱讀的文章。一分耕耘一分收獲，有付出就肯定有回報！
3、在平時總結自己的薄弱項，專門攻克這些分項，揚長避短。
4、單詞的話就是平時多途徑積累，背單詞，四級大綱所規定4200個詞彙，這是基礎。但是可以把常見的，考過的單詞集中起來，有就是我們平時說的「高頻詞彙」，可以用卡片或小手冊強化記憶，復習就有針對性了，也省時間。
5、盡管說現在大學英語的考察不以語法為重點，但是考試題型中，語句的理解還是以語法結構為基礎，特別是結構。語法其實在高中已經基本學完了，先強調的是應用。
6、聽力，堅持每天都聽，重在反復。聽的內容不要求很難，最好是你大部分聽得懂，關鍵在於反復聽。如果你長時間不聽，你會發現你對聽力的反應特別慢，所以一定要堅持。聽力薄弱的原因很多，詞彙量，語音，語法結構(意群)，語氣語調重讀(語感)，答題技巧等。在加強自己詞彙量，語法結構的理解，以及語音盡量標準的基礎上，把簡短對話和文章結合起來聽，如果水平有所提高，可以結合聽寫短句。難度可以逐步加大。聽力對完答案後不要急著看原文，先把答案分析下，然後繼續聽一遍。如果這時候你能找到問題的關鍵句就可以了。如果不行就看原文，然後再回去做一遍，直到自己可以聽懂原文為止。大多聽力題目的思路是一樣的，問題也是一個套路，可以找到規律的。考試的時候的小竅門就是在著急的時候要學會簡寫和縮寫，一個沒跟上也要往下跟著走，不能因小失大。而且不要在睡覺前聽，不然你考試時候形成條件反射，一聽見播音就犯困了。。。
7、閱讀是四級中最重要的部分，得分的比重也非常大。而閱讀能力也是培養出來的，可以看小說或者報紙，作用很大，可以潛移默化地提高單詞量，不知不覺中，積累一些好的詞彙和句子了。還可以擴充你的知識面，增強語感。詞彙，結構，邏輯，篇章，理解等都對閱讀產生很大的影響。在加強基本功的基礎上，再附以技巧和訓練。要適當精看，找出自己理解的長處和短處(特別是錯誤後的反省)。掌握技巧和方法是現在必須要做的，所以完成一篇文章後，最好要返看，提煉自己的得失，總結出題特點和思路，同時提煉好的詞彙搭配，結構甚至寫作中可以用到的精彩句子。然後逐步加大量和提高自己的速度。
考試的時候，注意閱讀步驟的培養：迅速瀏覽—看題—找答案點—理解含有答案點句子或段落—看和理解選項—對比和對應選項和答案點。先看問題，再畫好關鍵詞，再讀原文可以快一些。選擇答案時不要選那些絕對化說法的答案,比如 all, none, absolutely等。
8、完形和簡短回答是綜合題型，只要基本功加強，扎實了，加上足夠的練習，一定會有所提高。考試的時候一定要注意完型的第一句一般是完整的，這大多是全文的中心意義，可以對全文的前後邏輯判斷有幫助。
9、此外，平時做練習時候一定要掐表算時間，很多學生都是會做卻來不及，就可惜了。如果實在不夠時間，作文千萬不要少寫一段，因為段落結構不完整的話基本都是打不及格的。一定要快速弄出一個結尾段，總比沒寫好。
可以背誦一些精彩的轉折用語，因為英語作文強調結構嚴謹，起承轉合之非常重要，用一目瞭然的關鍵轉折詞可以對你的分數大有好處。可以借鑒一些精彩的開頭句，過渡句，或者結尾句，注重每一段開頭和結尾等顯眼的地方。在詞彙，結構，篇章等能力提高的同時，可以將作文和翻譯結合起來，遵循從翻譯單句，長句，段落到翻譯文章的步驟，可以中英文互譯，對比和原文的差別，找出自己表達的不足。平時要多多練筆，交給老師或同學和朋友修改，找出自己的問題。同時注意把閱讀和寫作結合起來，積累好的詞彙搭配，表達法，結構，篇章等。
10、考試前幾天就要調整好作息時間，以免考試時候是你平時的睡覺時間，犯困就難免了。。。要改掉開夜車的毛病，要把自己效率最高的時間段安排在白天的考試時間段，精神抖擻地參加考試，對聽力的注意力集中也有好處。
11、最後，要檢查該帶的各種東西，鉛筆，證件什麼的，萬一漏了，不僅很麻煩，而且影響心情。
12、一定要注意預先留下塗卡的時間。萬一來不及了，一定要先塗好，其他來不及的題目趕緊隨機填塗，保證大部分。
