於是，在第二天早上，我們吃過早點之後，就浩浩盪盪的向火山地質公園開進。到達了火山地質公園，買過門票後，進入了公園，我和表姐就走在我們群體的最前面。樂顛樂顛地向火山奔去，走過景區碑，映入眼簾的是一條差不多七八米長的寬廣的石板大道，我心想，不就這么點長嗎？一會就走完了。沖啊！我和表姐相互競爭著，跑在前面，把大人們遠遠地甩在後面。可是，沒有多大的一會功夫，我和表姐都累得氣喘吁吁的，相互看了一眼，在路邊停了下來，天哪，這路是個斜坡呀，雖然斜得不太明顯。眼看大人們就要趕了上來，表姐說道：「算了，還是繼續走吧！」快到山腳的廣場時，路的坡度也趆來趆大了，加上火辣辣的太陽在烘烤，我和表姐實在是累得不行了。一到廣場，我們就一屁股坐在石凳上，進行養精蓄銳。
穿過廣場，就到了火山群中最有名的大空山腳下。抬頭一看，「媽呀，還真是高哇！」我不禁咽了口唾沫，表姐看著我，笑著說：「怎麼了，爬啊！」，我點了點頭，於是，我們向山頂進軍。
沿著百級石階，我和表姐一路向上攀爬，仍然走在我們群體的最前面。可是，爬了大約三分之一時，我和表姐都喘著粗氣，實在有點爬不動了，這時，大人們也趕上來了。爸爸看了看我們，問了一聲：「需不需要幫助。」我和表姐回答道：「不需要，我們能行！」這時，我們不再領先了，夾雜在大人中間努力向上攀登。
爬到半山腰時，有一個休息的平台，我和表姐一屁股就坐在石凳上，相互看了一眼，心裡都有點不想再爬的意思了。大人們繼續向前走著，稍走幾步又停停，其實他們是在等候著我們。這時，只聽到爸爸說：「堅持住，堅持就是勝利！」我和表姐在觀察著休息台四周的情況，我眼睛一亮，看到樹影下有一位頭發花白的老奶奶在賣冰棒，我就拉著姐姐跑了過去，一人買了一根。冰棒含在嘴裡，那叫一個爽，涼滋滋地。這時，我看見老奶奶，面帶微笑的看著我們姐倆。我心想老奶奶這么大年紀了，還背著冰棒箱，都能爬到這山腰間，我空手怎麼就不能爬到山頂呢？於是，我們又屁顛屁顛地跟在大人的後面向山頂進發。
眼看快到山頂了。我和表姐實在是沒有半點力氣了。那真叫做是一個難，一步一小歇，三步一坐；抬頭一口水，低頭一把汗。爸爸站在山頂的入口處對著我們喊：「加油！堅持就是勝利！」「一定要拿出九十才過半的精神來。」
我們終於到達了山頂。我成功了。到了山頂後，我做了一口深呼吸，在樹影下小歇了片刻。我站到了山的最高點，看著山下絡繹不絕的遊人，看著天空中翱翔飛行器，看著緩緩升起的熱氣球……
堅持就是勝利！勝利就是成功。成功是一種喜悅，成功是一種自信，成功也是一種磨練，成功也是一種堅持……
