英语的作文也是和语文一样按评分标准打分的，
不是只要语法对就好，
举一个高考评分标准为例：

1. 本题总分为25分，按5个档次给分。

3. 词数少于 80和多于 120的，从总分中减去2分。

5. 拼写与标点符号是语言准确性的一个方面，评分时，应视其对交际的影 响程度予以考虑。英、美拼写汉词汇用法均可接受。 6. 如书写较差，以至影响交际，将分数降低一个档次。

3. 语法结构单调、词汇项目有限。
4. 有一些语法结构或词汇方面的错误，影响了对写作内容的理解。
5. 较少使用语句间的连接成分，内容缺少连贯性。
6. 信息未能清楚地传达给读者。
第一档(差)：(1-5分)
1. 未完成试题规定的任务。
2. 明显遗漏主要内容，写了一些无关内容，原因可能是未理解试题要求。
3. 语法结构单调、词汇项目有限。
4. 较多语法结构或词汇方面的错误，影响对写作内容的理解。
5. 缺乏语句间的连接成分，内容不连贯。
6. 信息未能传达给读者。
不得分：（0分）
未能传达给读者仟何信息：内容太少，无法评判；写的内容均与所要求内容无关或所写内容无法看清。

写作是一个主动输出的过程，涉及的技巧性非常低，但是想写好高中英语作文，要注意以下几个方面。
一，作文体裁。高中英语作文以应用问为主，包括书信，通知等，还有根据所给提示进行讨论的作文。这三种类型的格式是不同的。比如，书信进入正文后要先表明写信的主要目的：是邀请，是询问，是道歉等等。进入正文后要进行具体内容的展开叙述，一般包括时间，地点，任务，主要事件，人物等。最后一段要再次点名写信意图，并期待对方回复。这是书信的格式。通知则要有通知的格式，有口头通知或者书面通知，作文书里都有详细说明，我就不在这说了。总而言之，要先确定自己要写一篇什么东西。

二，作文框架，也就是作文分几段写，每段写什么内容。需要注意的就是，每一段要有一个主题，这一段围绕这个主题写。

三，作文模板句。所谓模板句就是起到支撑作文框架的作用，在例文中就能看到。比如，I am writing this letter to inform....这种就可以作为书信告知某人某事的开头一句。再比如：first and foremost,意为首先且最重要的是。这个短语，就可以用来引出一个观点。

四，作文的语法。高中作文语法不要求特别复杂，用到形容词修饰名词，副词，非谓语动词做修饰成分，用到简单的从句（定语从句，名词性从句），并列句，就可以。

五，词汇。英语作文写作时要求词汇的变化，包括同义词的使用和同根词的使用（一个词的动词形式，名词形式，形容词形式的变化使用，比如exciting，excited，excitement）。高中英语作文不要求很大词汇量，不要求用生僻词，富有变化就好。
