我听一位教育专家讲过：决定一个人学习成绩的因素主要有三方面，一是天分或者说是智商，二是学习条件，三是习惯。他说，现在，人与人之间智力差异并不是特别大，人们的学习条件也相差不多，关键要有好的习惯。
习惯是什么？词典上讲，习惯是在长时间里逐渐养成的、不容易改变的行为。可见，习惯是一种养成，是一种比较确定的思想和行为方式。总结我这三年的体会，我想跟大家说，初中三年最要紧的，是养成好习惯，克服坏习惯。
先说学习的习惯。

第一要刻苦，要舍得花时间。每天保证一定的学习时间，养成习惯。谁也不是天才，不可能不学就会。我们这些参加数学竞赛的同学，做过的习题不计其数。简单地讲，要取得好成绩，数理化是做题做出来的，英语是背单词背课文背出来的，语文是多读多写出来的。时间是“抓”出来的，每天一个小时，可以干很多事。20分钟可以背30个英语单词，20分钟可以读1~2篇好的散文，我给大家算个数字：每天背10个单词，加上复习不超过10分钟，三年下来就是一万多，考托福都有富裕。有些事情你觉得难，其实很简单，只要你坚持做，积累起来，效果绝对超过你的想像。
第二要讲究方法，要少走或者不走弯路。你再用力，花的时间再多，如果方法不对，尽走弯路，效果也不好，还会影响信心，打击自己的积极性。怎么才能不走弯路呢？首先起点要对，养成一件事从开始就把它做正确的习惯，不要稀里糊涂，不假思索地就开始，等发现错了再改，肯定浪费时间。其次标准要高，养成一下子把事情做到位的习惯。比如学数学，学了概念和公式不一定会做题，会做题了未必能讲明白，如果你按照能参加数学竞赛或者能讲明白的标准去学数学，那么在考试中取得好成绩是没有问题的。而且，我的体会是，用高标准学习和用低标准学习所用的时间是差不多的，可结果却差很多。

再说行为习惯。

第二是开好头不开坏头。
