英语翻译技巧：
第一、省略翻译法
这与最开始提到的增译法相反，就是要求你把不符合汉语，或者英语的表达的方式、思维的习惯或者语言的习惯的部分删去，以免使所翻译出的句子沉杂累赘。
第二、合并法
合并翻译法就是把多个短句子或者简单句合并到一起，形成一个复合句或者说复杂句，多出现在汉译英的题目里出现，比如最后会翻译成定语从句、状语从句、宾语从句等等。
这是因为汉语句子里面喜欢所谓的“形散神不散”，即句子结构松散，但其中的语意又是紧密相连的，所以为了表达出这种感觉，汉语多用简单句进行写作。而英语则不同，它比较强调形式，结构严谨，所以会多用复杂句、长句。因此，汉译英时还需要注意介词、连词、分词的使用。
第三、拆分法
当然，英译汉的时候，就要采取完全相反的战术——拆分法，即把一个长难句细细拆分为一个个小短句、简单句，并适当补充词语，是句子通顺。最后，注意还需要按照汉语习惯调整语序，达到不仅能看懂而且不拗口的目标。
第四、插入法
就是把不能处理的句子，利用括号、双逗号等插入到所翻译的句子中，不过这种方法多用在笔译里面，口译用的非常少。

The first Arbor Day took place on April 10, 1872 in Nebraska. It was the brainchild of Julius Sterling Morton (1832-1902), a Nebraska journalist and politician originally from Michigan. Throughout his long and proctive career,
Morton worked to improve agricultural techniques in his adopted state and throughout the United States when he served as President Grover Cleveland's Secretary of Agriculture. But his most important legacy is Arbor Day.
Morton (photo, right) felt that Nebraska's landscape and economy would benefit from the wide-scale planting of trees. He set an
example himself planting orchards, shade trees and wind breaks on his own farm and he urged his neighbours to follow suit. Morton's real opportunity, though, arrived when he became a member of Nebraska's state board of agriculture.
He proposed that a special day be set aside dedicated to tree planting and increasing awareness of the importance of trees. Nebraska's first Arbor Day was an amazingsuccess. More than one million trees were planted. A second Arbor Day took place in 1884 and the young state made it an annual legal
holiday in 1885, using April 22nd to coincide with Morton's birthday. In the years following that first Arbor Day, Morton's idea spread beyond Nebraska with Kansas, Tennessee, Minnesota and Ohio all
proclaiming their own Arbor Days. Today all 50 states celebrate Arbor Day although the dates may vary in keeping with the local climate. 我非常喜欢我们班里的图书角。

在中秋节之前，语文老师说要办一个班级图书角。希望我们大家拿一些书来，多学习学习，让知识面更加丰富。我们非常赞成。回到家，同学们纷纷把家里的书拿来。一本、两本、三本······图书角的书积少成多，在同学们的共同努力下，到了10月10日，老师宣布：“我们班的图书角成立了！”教室里响起一片欢呼声。
看看同学们都带了些什么书吧。哇！真是各种各样，有十万个为什么、有快乐日记、还有轻松作文300字等······
老师让许芸和何忠贤当图书角的管理员。还定了几条制度：
一、借书的人，手一定要干净，否则不能借书；
二、书一定要好好保护，如果弄坏了，按这本书的原价双倍赔偿；
三、每周一、二、三由许芸负责，四、五、六、七由何忠贤负责。
管理员很负责任，书面脏了擦干净，擦桌子，管好图书等······
自从我们班有了图书角后，现在贪玩的人少了，学习主动的人多了，知识面广了，各方面都提高了不少。我爱我们班的图书角。

我们班的图书角不大，那里有一个大约两米高，一米宽的书架，放满了一排排整齐的图书，比如深受女孩子喜爱的各类童话书《安徒生童话》、《格林童话》、《一千零一夜》等，还有男生爱不释手的漫画书《爆笑校园》、《淘气包马小跳》……每次下课或者午休，小小的图书角都挤满了人，因为大家都很喜欢坐在这里看书，我也不例外。只要一翻开印刷精美的书籍，我就仿佛来到了知识的海洋，可以自由自在地遨游，那书中奇妙的想象，优美的.语言，有趣的内容，曲折的情节都有着神奇的魔力，深深地吸引着我，我就好像身临其境地来到了书中的场景，和主人公一起喜怒哀乐，这时候我就会所有烦恼都抛到九霄云外，好像外界的一切都和我没有关系，就连同学都说我看书真是入了迷。

有一次我们上操回来，看见班级图书角打开着，里面摆满了新书！大家马上都大叫起来了，没叫的也两眼发光。听说这些都是文老师买的，对于我这个小书虫来说简直是天上掉馅饼。正在我们欢呼之时，文老师进来说：“大家安静一下！现在我来发书，我说到哪个作家的名字，喜欢这位作家写的书的人就来拿一本。”文老师刚说完，班内立刻发出震耳欲聋的“Ye”声！接下来是一个又一个大家熟悉的作家的名字：杨红樱、郑渊洁、沈石溪……每个人都快速跑到了书堆前，挑选出了自已喜欢的书，然后心满意足地走了。
选完书后，文老师把剩下的时间都让交给我们读书了，班里安静极了，只剩下“沙沙”的翻书声。
后面的日子里，我们班爆发了一股“读书热潮”：大家到校后，每个人都拿着书津津有味地看着，班里安静了许多，以前只要下午一来学校，就吵的不得了，而现在几乎一点儿声音也没有，我觉的书真是个神奇的东西！

在我们班教室后面书包柜的左角，拼装了六块造型别致的木板，这里装满了“颜如玉”，装满了“黄金屋”……瞧，有人好奇了吧。哈，这就是我们班的图书角。
每当下课铃一响，小小的图书角就挤满了人，不一会儿图书都被同学借走了。我们拿着书，喜滋滋地走进知识的海洋。
在这些造型别致的书架上，摆满了各种杂志和书籍。绘本、小说、网络探秘、军事秘密等等。别小看这些图书，那可是我们班32名同学一本本自发捐赠出来的。
这里就是我的乐园。这里一本本的图书真是妙不可言。比如《网络探秘》，除了用漫画的形式将复杂的知识讲解清楚外，还有很多未知的科学呢；还有《笑猫日记》，能使你一会儿哈哈大笑，一会儿泪流满面；还有《安妮日记》《科幻故事》《天天爱学习》等等。我最喜欢看的就是《笑猫日记》。书中的主人公叫笑猫，他很多复杂的心情都是用笑来表达的。他会微笑、狂笑、狞笑、苦笑，还会皮笑肉不笑。他最喜欢的人是马小跳和杜真子，因为他们都是有孩子味儿的小朋友。在这一篇篇美妙温暖的文字中，我有时会因为笑猫的调皮而哈哈大笑，有时又会为他的命运而流泪。
在这片乐园里，我知道了什么是“友谊”，也知道了什么叫“感动”，更懂得了感恩。每天在书的海洋里遨游，我真快乐！

这里有许许多多的书籍：有的文字优美，有的图文并茂，有的是同学们从家来带来的，有的是图书管理员到学校图书室借阅的，每个学期都会定时更换。这里是同学们喜爱的地方，也是我的乐园——班级图书角。
图书角并不大，只有一个不到两米的木头书柜靠在教室西南角上。书柜有两层是专门用来放书的。每天图书管理员都会把里面的书摆得整整齐齐，等待同学们借阅。
我是图书角的常客。每天早上到学校，一放下书包，我就立刻飞奔到这里，津津有味地读起书来。读到《苦儿流浪记》中雷米的启蒙老师皮大斯冻死在外面，我悲痛万分；读到《阳光姐姐小说派》中高冷小表妹的幼稚姐姐，十五岁了还喝儿童牛奶、看动画片，我哈哈大笑；读到《送给小狐狸的礼物》中小熊把所有糖果都拿走了，不给其它小动物的自私而霸道，我摇头叹息。妈妈说我读书就像吃饭一样香甜。可不是嘛，我每次“吃”书都“吃”得非常饱，非常香。
因为我坚持每天在图书角读书，并且每次都读得很入迷，所以同学送我外号“小书虫”。随着读书越来越多，我的语文成绩也一步一个脚印，越来越好。我的阅读速度变快了，知识面也扩大了。在我的带动下，班里越来越多的同学都喜欢上了读书，喜欢上了我的乐园——班级图书角。为此，我感到非常自豪。

Besides, we can do some reading every time when we are free. For example, I often read some of my favorite books in my spare time both at home or in the library. What I like most are story books because most of them are quite interesting. Now I often buy my favorite books on line for its big discount.
