Title （标题）：写英文作文时，若有标题之要求时，我们就必须物咐书写题目；若无要求则无需书写题目。

2. 段落结构
Introction （导论）：文章的引言，吸引读者，阐明文意，导入正题。英文作文的引言必须包含Thesis Statement （论点），是整篇文章的灵魂所在。Thesis Statement常是在引言导论的最后一句。它就像是罗盘一般，有两个主要功能：告诉读著作者的想法思路；作者以它为指引，以免自己写偏。
Body （内文）：把论点加以细项分类，并支持论点，深入讨论。Body 必须包含Topic Sentence （主题句）。一般说来，主题句必须置於每一个Supporting Paragraph（支持段落）开始的第一句。主题句的用意在於说明整个段落的大意，是段落的摘要，也是段落内容的基础。简言之，Thesis Statement之於整篇文章的重要性，犹如Supporting Paragraph之於Body。
Conclusion （结论）：总结文章，重申论点。可再简述文章要点，有时可提出引人省思的问题，但不宜再发展其它论点。
Order （次序）：次序指的是文章内容在文章中的组织、安排、或是组成序列。虚蚂衡常用次序如下：
1. Chronological Order / Time Order （时间次序）：故事的发展需以时间为基础，按时间的推移来发展。以事件或人物出现的先后次序来展开故事。
2. Spatial Order （空间次序）：作者根据空间的细节所做描述顺序之安排。以一个物理位置为基础，作者描述了可从该一位置所看到的景象、物体。描述顺序有其联贯性。ㄧ般由左到右，从前到后，或从上到下。
3. Ascending Order / Emphatic Order （递增顺序）：递增顺序有时被称为「把最重要的留到最后」。这个方法把重点，也就是把文章最有趣、或重要的细节，放置在文章的最后一个支持的段落。最后的位置在一篇文章中，往往是最有力的位置。因为读者最有可能记得最后提及的事情。最典型的用语有 “last of all,” “the most important reason, part. . . ”等。
4. Descending Order （递减顺序）：相对於递增顺序，递减顺序把重点摆在文章的第一个支持论点的段落。也就是把文章最有趣、或重要的细节，放置在文章的开端。作者当然认为其他的论点也是重要的，只是他先提及相对而言最重要的部分。

英语作文的基本要求： 首先，一个段落必须有一个中心，即主题思想，该中心由主题句特别是其中的题旨来表达。
整个段落必须紧扣这个主题（stick or hold to the topic），这就是段落的统一性（unity）。其次，一个段落必须有若干推展句，使主题思想得到充分展开，从而给读者一个完整的感觉，这就是完整性（pleteness or adequateness）。
再者，一个段落不是杂乱无章的，而是有机的组合，句子的排列顺序必须合乎逻辑，从一个句子差做到另一个句子的过渡必须流畅（ *** ooth），这就是连贯性（coherence）。根据文章题目以及你所想要表示的意思下手，下面我们就对这三个标准分别加以说明。
1、统一性 一个段落内的各个句子必须从属于一个中心，任何游离于中心思想之外的句子都是不可取的。请看下例： Joe and I decided to take the long trip we'd always wanted across the country. We were like young kids buying our camper and stocking it with all the necessities of life. Bella bakes the best rhubarb pie. We started out in early spring from Minneapolis and headed west across the northern part of the country. We both enjoyed those people we met at the trailer park. Joe received a watch at his retirement dinner. To our surprise, we found that we liked the warm southern regions very much, and so we decided to stay here in New Mexico. 本段的主题句是段首句，controlling idea（中心思想）是take the long trip across the country。
文中出现两个irrelevant sentences，一个是Bella bakes the best rhubarb pie，这一段是讲的是Joe and I ，中间出现一个Bella是不合适的。还有，Joe received a watch at his retirement dinner这一句更是与主题句不相关。
再看一个例子： My name is Roseanna, and I like to keep physically fit. I used to weigh o hundred pounds, but I joined the YMCA for an exercise class and diet program. In one year I lost eighty pounds. I feel much better and never want to have that much weight on my five-feet frame again. I bought o new suitcases last week. Everyday I practice jogging three miles, swimming fifteen laps, lifting enty-pound weights and playing tennis for one hour. My mother was a premature baby. 本段的controlling idea 是like to deep physically fit，但段中有两个irrelevant sentences，一个是I bought o new suitcases last week，另一个是My mother was a premature baby。 从上面两个例子可以看出，native speakers同样会造出来irrelevant sentences。
卷面上如果这种句子多了，造成偏题或离题，那问题就更严重了。2、完整性 正象我们前面说得那样，一个段落的主题思想靠推展句来实现，如果只有主题句而没有推展句来进一步交待和充实，就不能构成一个完整的段落。
同样，虽然有推展句，但主题思想没有得到相对圆满的交待，给读者一种意犹未尽的感觉。这样的段落也不能完成其交际功能。
例如： Physical work can be a useful form of therapy for a mind in turmoil. Work concentrates your thoughts on a concrete task. Besides, it is more useful to work —— you proce something rather than more anxiety or depression. 本段的主题句是段首句。本段的两个推展句均不能回答主题句中提出的问题。
什么是“a mind in turmoil”（心境不平静）Physical work又如何能改变这种情况？为什么它能起therapy的作用？读者得不到明确的答案。因此，要达到完整就必须尽可能地简明。
例如： It is not always true that a g筏攻摧纪诋慌搓苇掸俩ood picture is worth a thousand words. Often writing is much clearer than a picture. It is sometimes difficult to figure out what a picture means, but a careful writer can almost always explain it. 段首句所表达的主题思想是一种看法，必须有具体事例加以验证。上述两个推展句只是在文字上对主题作些解释，整个段落内容空洞，简而不明。
如果用一两个具体的例子的话，就可以把主题解释清楚了。比如下段： It is not always true that a picture is worth a thousand words. Sometimes, pictures are pretty useless things. If you can't swim and fall in the river and start gulping water, will you be better off to hold up a picture of yourself drowning, or start screaming "Help"?3、连贯性（coherence） 连贯性包括意连和形连两个方面，前者指的是内在的逻辑性，后者指的是使用转换词语。
当然这两者常常是不可分割的。只有形连而没有意连，句子之间就没有内在的有机的联系；反之，只有意连而没有形连，有时行文就不够流畅。

需要注意的是：
1. Who
直接影响人称的使用，第一人称？第二人称？
还是第三人称？单数？还是复数？用词都是不一样的。
因此在审题时，就要根据题意选择正确人称。
若使用第三人称，要注意其在一般现在时中的用法。动词后需加s或es。

2. When
主要考虑四种时态：一般现在时、一般过去时、一般将来时、现在进行时，最常用的是前面三种。

对于作文，我说的最多的就是：不走寻常路！你不要以为在网上下载那些所谓的优秀作文，拿来背背，你就成为高手了，其实大错特错！因为我看了之后也觉得一般，甚至有些拙劣，哗众取宠的味道，比如有的所谓优秀作文竟然还用什么be good at ，importance，very much，depend on，in my opinion ，completely 这样低等的写作词汇，说它低等，那是因为这些词汇已经广为人知，阅卷老师已经看的麻木不仁了！
要写出高人一等的作文，我觉得并不难，只要你有一定的语法基础和一定量的写作词汇（越高级越好），写作句型，就足可以应对常规的高考，四六级考试……（我记得高中25分满分的作文我可以保持在21-23这个级别，四六级的作文都是110多分）
首先是语法，在你的语法达到一定层次之后，你就可以追求更多的变化了，比如，用虚拟语气句型it is high time that we……代替常用的it is necessary that we should……，又如用倒装句代替常见的平铺直叙等，这样可以增加你的语法亮点，让已经有些麻木一直想睡觉的阅卷老师眼睛一亮，在你的试卷上多扫射一番！
其次，是词汇，我觉得，在你的语法达到基本不会出错的程度上，作文便应该以词汇取胜，因为在这个层次上，大家的语法都差不多，没什么变化，唯一有变化的就是你的词汇！给你打个比方吧，很多想到“许多”就用many，但是你别忘了many a ；handsome；massive，innumerable，a multitude of ；很多人想到“专家”就写expert，但很少人会想到specialist，很多人在想到“擅长”这词，就写be good at ，却不知还有更高级的表达法：be expert at 或者excel in …高手和庸才，就体现在这些细微的差别上！
再次，是怎么将文章润色，从而使你的文章大放异彩！！关于这方面，我觉得我自己使用最多的，也是我自创的------叫做“添油加醋”，包括如下几个方面：尽可能地在形容词前使用副词，在介词短语中加入适当的形容词和副词，在过去分词前加入副词，在名词之前尽可能多用形容词……，总之就是尽可能地使用形容词和副词。我觉得这样做有一个好处，那就是使原本干巴巴的句子变得血肉丰满，比如：
