In most schools and colleges the examination is used as a chief means of deciding whether a student succeeds or fails in mastering a particular subject. Although it does the job quite efficiently, its side effects are also enormous.
The most undesirable effect is that examinations encourage bad study habits. As the examination score is the only criterion for his academic performance, a student is driven to memorize mechanically rather than to think creatively. Examinations do not motivate a student to seek more knowledge, but to restrict his reading; they do not enable him to study consistently throughout the semester, but to ince cramming ring exam week.

One of the main problems the world is facing today is the energy crisis. With the development of instry and agriculture, the world has consumed a great amount of energy. But all this energy has gone forever. Therefore, energy supplies are becoming short, in other words, all forms of energy willbe exhausted in future.
However, energy is of great importance to us. We can hardly imagine how we could live in a world without energy. We wouldn't be able to drive our cars and listen to our favourite music. Moreover, the night would become dark all the time. In short, once we lose all the energy resources, we will not be able to exist in the world.
Therefore, conserving our energy is an important task.We must take active measures to protect our energy resources. On the one hand, we should use our energy reasonably;on the other hand, we should instruct our people not to waste energy so that we will be able to send a good gift——, to our next generation.

In recent years, more and more large-scale pressure【 pressures,不然后面用 was ,pressure 用单复数都可以。】 were poured on the【the 不用】 college students, flowing【?应该用 reflecting 吧,“反应,说明”】 the importance of huan【human】 resources. We,colleges tudents, realized【must realize,这里应该用一般现在时】 the society that is full of factors of competition, which can hardly step a step into the current society.【这句句法有点问题,建议改为 We , college students , feel obliged to be aware of the fierce competition in society 】

The evil【evil 一般只修饰 devil 吧 …… 用“serious”好点 】 pressure truly gave 【gives】a prosperitily competative【competitive】 human-resource market for every field in society, hence, there was a age-old saying 【an old saying】 ,which is called "a coin has two sides".【改为 as an old saying quotes,"every coin has its two sides"】 excessive pressure did【does】 really make a "contribution" to the occurence rate of mental disease.for instant, occurence of autism rate are incresinglly happend in graates. the extramely high rate is of our human-resouce which should be saved for other field as well.

Cybersickness
(Do you suffer from cybersickness It causes nausea while scrolling on phones),认识到智能手机可能会带给我们的危害,希望它能警醒我们,让我们能够更加合理的使用智能手机。
Do you suffer from cybersickness It causes nausea while scrolling on phones
The rise of mobile phones has been blamed for a number of social ills, but your smart phone may also be making you physically sick as well. Scientists have identified a condition called “cybersickness”, which they say is the digital version of motion sickness. The phenomenon, which affects up to 80 percent of the population who own smartphones or tablets, leads to feelings of nausea and unsteadiness. It is caused by seeing fast motion on a screen and covers anything from a car chase in a film to scrolling through web pages on your phone. The more realistic the visual content is, the higher your chances of getting cybersickness. The condition was identified in a piece in the New York Times in which British and US experts said that it needed addressing. Cyriel Diels, a cognitive psychologist and human factors researcher at Coventry University’s centre for Mobility and Transport, said: “It’s a fundamental problem that’s kind of been swept under the carpet in the tech instry.” “It’s a natural response to an unnatural environment.” Motion sickness leaves sufferers feeling ill because they feel movement in your muscles and your inner ear but do not see it. The mismatch in digital sickness is the opposite—you see movement on the screen but do not feel it. The effect is the same and the symptoms include a headache, wanting to throw up, confusion and the need to sit down. Often cybersickness manifests itself in a subtle way and sufferers put it down to stress or eyestrain.Steven Rauch, a professor of otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School, said: “Your sense of balance is different than other senses in that it has lots of inputs.” When those inputs don’t agree, that’s when you feel dizziness and nausea “Some studies that have been carried out into cybersickness found that women are more susceptible than men, the New York Times reported. Those who have Type A’ personalities—meaning they are confident and assertive—are more likely to suffer from cybersickness as well. Among those who have reported experiencing the condition have been video gamers who spend hours playing fast paced games. Cinema-goers have struggled with some scenes in action movies which have quick cuts and fast editing—and virtual reality has made the problem even worse. Jonathan Weinstein, a professor at the Kanbar Institute for Film and Television at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, said: “The idea is to get audiences to feel like participants in the action rather than outside observers of the action. Engineers at Oculus VR, the virtual headset manufacturer, have admitted that digital motion sickness is one of their biggest problems.

Credit Cards
Personal credit cards are becoming more common in China. Banks and other financial institutions are encouraging their customers to change the way they buy things. Credit cards, otherwise known as “plastic money”, are being offered on very good terms to encourage the change. Consumers will be able to “buy now, pay later”, and many see this as an advantage.
But people need to be careful. There are dangers associated with credit cards. Some people find it very easy to exceed their budget. They are tempted to purchase goods that they do not really need, and can become quickly overburdened by debt. The credit cards often charge a high rate of interest, which exacerbates the problems for these people.
However, used wisely credit cards can improve the quality of people’s lives. They can give people access to money to meet sudden unplanned expenses. Properly handled, they can let people control their expenditure and the monthly statements provide a record of where their money has gone.
