（2）注意用词表达得当 用词不当，会影响文章内容的正确表达。

有的学生用He let us catch an other off ender.这种表达就没有He made us catch the next of fender. 来得恰当。
因为文中是因违章被罚，站在路边抓其他违章者一事带有强迫性质，用“let”语意太轻，应改用make。
(3)重视英语虚词的使用 “看图写话”所提供的图画内容要点，通常是分幅叙述，相互之间没有逻辑的联系。
这就要求考生按照合理的顺序，将句子连珠成串。
在不连贯时，可适当使用一些过渡性的连接词，如and,then,however,besides,thus等，这样使人看上去脉络清晰，层次分明，文理通顺，意思连贯。
如：NMET 97范文中使用连词and达到5次，NMET 98使用连词and达到3次，NMET 99使用连词and达到4次，NMET 2000使用连词and达到3次，then l次，but l次。
5.结尾自然有力 文章结尾要干净、利落，既不能拉杂，也不能草率，要显得自然，恰当得体。

懒惰的弟弟
俗话说：“失败乃成功之母。”是啊，不经历风雨，哪能见彩虹啊！你想知道失败的原因吗？
我的弟弟就是一个例子。
今天，我的弟弟在外面培训画画。因为今天很忙，没能去弟弟那儿打探消息，所以拜托妹妹去培训地看看弟弟的表现如何。
一秒钟，一分钟，一小时……时间慢慢的流逝，让我变得急躁起来。就算是一秒钟，也让我觉得，这一秒钟比平日慢了许多。我打开防盗门，啊，一阵微风呆着一丝清香迎面吹来，把心情急躁的我在一瞬间变成了一只欢快、活跃的小鸟，使我的心情变得愉悦起来。
这时候，妹妹拖着弟弟回来了，只见妹妹满脸苍白，眉头紧锁，好像是被气的。弟弟呢？他被拖回来后，鞋也不脱，手也不洗，就一溜烟地跑进家门，手握遥控器，津津有味地看动画片了。
妹妹走过来，说弟弟在上课时一点也不认真。不仅如此，他还俯在课桌上，悠闲地、懒洋洋地看着明媚的阳光，根本没把考试当作是一回事儿。收考卷时，纸上只用黑色彩笔勾勒了几样物品，老师给评了个“待合格”，而且是画画班倒数第一名！
就这几句话，把我的“情绪引线”点燃了，大声地对弟弟说：“你太过分了，连简简单单的一幅画也懒得动笔，就快要到无可救药的地步了！去，把画重新画一遍！”我的大声哄叫把他吓哭了，但是，他还是规规矩矩的去画画了。
弟弟，我当时不应该对你那么大声，也许，我要给你道个歉。但是，你知道吗？如果你坚持这样懒下去的话，你的一生将没有情趣，更没有关心、体贴和友谊。我希望你做一个勤学好问、善思苦练的好孩子，因为，懒惰是万恶之源！
