中国目前学英语最出名的有两个人，一个是疯狂英语的创始人李阳；另外一个就是新东方的董事长俞敏洪。
首先说说李阳。李阳读中学的时候，英语成绩很差，常常只能考四五十分。高三期间因对学习失去兴趣曾几欲退学，1986年才勉强考入兰州大学工程力学系。大学一二年级时李阳还多次补考英语。
再说说俞敏洪。俞敏洪高中复读了两年才很意外地考进了北大。他在北大的时候有很多的苦闷：一是普通话不好，第二英语水平一塌糊涂。所以被调到了C班，C班叫做“语音语调及听力障碍班”。
这两个人学英语有这些共同点：一、英语成绩曾经都很差；二、后来都利用英语成就了自己的事业，成了中国最出名的英语学习者；三、把英语做成了产业。
通过上述我们可以轻易得出这样的结论：基础差并不能决定一个人学不好英语！有的同学说自己基础差，可跟他们相比，有比他们基础更差的吗？有的同学说，到高三了，时间来不及了，可他们直到大二才开始认真学英语啊！

Listen to English Music
Music can be a very effective method of learning English. In fact, it is often used as a way of improving comprehension. The best way to learn though, is to get the lyrics (words) to the songs you are listening to and try to read them as the artist sings. There are several good internet sites where one can find the words for most songs. This way you can practice your listening and reading at the same time. And if you like to sing, fine.

Often, it is by comparing your score on a test you took yesterday with one you took a month or six months ago that you realize just how much you have learned. If you never test yourself, you will never know how much you are progressing. Start now by doing some of the many exercises and tests on this site, and return in a few days to see what you've learned. Keep doing this and you really will make some progress with English.
Record Yourself
Nobody likes to hear their own voice on tape but like tests, it is good to compare your tapes from time to time. You may be so impressed with the progress you are making that you may not mind the sound of your voice as much.
Listen to English
By this, we mean, speak on the phone or listen to radio broadcasts, audiobooks or CDs in English. This is different than watching the television or films because you can’t see the person that is speaking to you.
