今年的才藝展示又開始了！我很榮幸在英語書法比賽中獲得了一等獎。那是我和媽媽費盡心思、共同努力取得的。
比賽前我和媽媽精心准備。每天晚上寫完作業，我都一筆一畫地在媽媽給我買的英語字帖上認真仔細地練習26個英語字母。媽媽也認真地給我指導。她講過的筆畫如果我寫錯了，就會讓我再比著字帖寫十遍。在媽媽的嚴格要求和精心指導下，我寫的字母也大有長進，一天比一天好。慢慢地媽媽對我寫的字母大加稱贊。英語老師說，比賽的那張紙必須設計好花邊。我和媽媽精心設計比賽作品的花邊，那花邊看上去非常簡單，但是做起來一點也不容易，那天晚上媽媽12點才幫我設置好，真是費了媽媽多少心血啊！因此，我在心裡想，一定要在比賽中認真地寫。
比賽那天是星期三下午的自習課，我做好了充足的准備，比賽的時候心裡很緊張，一直在想寫得不好怎麼辦？但我在心裡很有信心地說：「我一定能拿一等獎。」我一筆一畫地寫，一邊想媽媽給我講的占格，一邊想字貼上的標准字體，並且更加認真。我終於把字母寫完了……
放學了，我一見到媽媽就胸有成竹地說：「媽媽，我肯定能拿一等獎！」媽媽撫摸著我的頭，和藹可親地說：「孩子，你的同學都很優秀，寫得好不好，老師會給你們一個公正的成績！」
成績公布了，我真的是一等獎。這與我的刻苦練習是分不開的。我並沒有因為這個獎項而驕傲，因為我寫的字母與字帖相比還有很大的差距。以後我還會刻苦練習。干什麼事都要認真仔細、腳踏實地、用心去做。有付出才會有收獲！
