開始釣魚了，爸爸對我說：「釣魚要有耐心，否則是掉不到魚的。首先要上好魚餌，然後扔向水中，如果魚漂在動，就表示魚來了，但是這時不能提魚竿，因為魚還沒有吃，只是試探一下。如果魚漂沉下去或者浮起來，表示魚已經吃鉤了，這時就可以提竿了。」我不耐煩地回答說：「知道了！」心想：我一定釣一條大魚讓你看看！我們便開始釣魚了，起先我還能耐著性子釣，可越等越不耐煩，一條魚都沒靠近魚竿，更別說上鉤了，我便一氣之下扔下魚竿跑到別處玩去了。
等我大漢淋漓地回來，爸爸都已經釣到兩三條魚了，可是看看我，只有光禿禿的魚鉤，連魚餌都被魚吃掉了。沒辦法，我只好再拿起魚竿釣起來，可是魚總不上鉤，像是在和我作對似的。我見自己釣不上來，便賭氣地拿起石頭往水裡扔，魚都被我嚇跑了，爸爸也釣不上來，我哈哈大笑。這下，可氣壞了爸爸，他讓我只能坐在那兒不能動，大家都知道我是個好動的人，讓我坐一個上午哪行呢，可爸爸的「任務」我不敢違抗，只有坐了，這滋味就簡直到了生不如死的境界。正當我無聊的時候，我的魚漂動起來了，我急忙拉竿，可怎麼也拉不動，於是，我便叫爸爸來幫忙。經過一場「拔河比賽」之後，終於把它拉上來了。一看，哇！好大的魚啊！這恐怕是池塘里最大的一條魚了，我們把它放進早已裝滿水的塑料桶里。它還在裡面不停地潑水呢。爸爸見了，用贊許的目光看著我，好像在說：「嗯，不錯，繼續努力吧！」
萬事開頭難，有了第一次的成功，我更是信心十足。水面常常泛起漣漪，一條，兩條……我的心裡甭提有多高興了。
