眾所周知，在每一個繁華的都市，都匯聚了來自大江南北的人們。顯而易見，在男女老少的隊伍中，少不了外來打工的農民群眾。他們是社會最底層的勞動者，也是城市裡獨特的一個群體。隨著現代化的高速發展，他們家鄉的土地一塊一塊的被承包，被佔用，最終都賣給了開發商。無田可耕、無地可種的他們，為了一家老小的生計，不得不背井離鄉的來到城市謀生。在繁華的都市，他們時常遭遇不平等的對待，也時常遭遇歧視、冷漠和排斥。當今社會，他們總是被定義為：窮、臟、俗。每當有搶劫、盜竊，人們也總是把目光投向農民工。我想說，他們有什麼錯？！難道就因為他們沒文化、沒地位、沒品味嗎？！工業毀了他們的家園，他們卻還要反過來為工業發展做服務。
他們頂著烈日，揮汗如雨；
他們冒著嚴寒，瑟瑟發抖……
但是，有誰看到他們後退一步？！有誰聽到他們說過辛苦？！在惡劣的工作環境下，他們蓋起了一幢幢的高樓，建成了一道道馬路，鋪好了一條條鐵軌，架起了一座座橋梁……
他們當中還有一些人，每天為城市清理好每一條街道，疏通好每一節下水道，把我們不願意搬的物件搬運到家門口；有時候，他們甚至冒險替我們修理好壞了的電纜線……
有誰敢說他們卑微？！有誰敢說他們渺小？！我們有什麼資格取笑他們？！我們有什麼權力鄙視
他們？！他們是高尚的，他們是偉大的，因為，他們能做到的，我們不一定能做得到，也未必做得好。
有這么幾則關於農民工的報導：
在炎炎夏日，有一位農民工拖著重重的行李，吃力的上了一輛公共汽車。因為天氣實在太悶熱，農民工汗流浹背，也因為風塵僕僕，他渾身散發陣陣汗臭味，引起一名乘客破口大罵，甚至命令他立刻下車。原因就是嫌農民工太臟，影響市容。農民工無辜又無助的看著對方，一遍一遍的道歉著，然後，他默默的移走到一個拐角，當時，車上的空位還有很多，可是，農民工卻顫顫巍巍的站立著，他再也不敢坐下來，生怕別人嫌他太臟，也怕弄臟了座位，別人不好坐。
有一名女子，在某處風景區觀光，一路上吃著零食，吃完的包裝袋隨地亂扔，一位上了年紀的清潔工一路跟在她後面，一次一次的彎腰撿起垃圾，又一次一次的丟進垃圾桶。本以為那名女子會自覺的遵守公共環境，誰知她非但不改，竟然更加隨意。清潔工實在看不過去，就上前說了一句「請不要隨地丟垃圾，旁邊就有垃圾桶」。那名女子卻回了一句「如果人人都把垃圾丟進垃圾桶，那麼還要你們這些人干什麼」？清潔工聽完之後，再也沒說任何話，蹲下身子撿起垃圾，轉身扔進了垃圾桶。隨後，默默的走了……
一位安裝工，在一個有20多層高的單位外牆，腳踩著狹小的空間，他的腰間，只系著一條安全帶，成功的完成了電器安裝和調試。這樣飛檐走壁的工人，一天可能要完成三四個任務。他們冒著生命危險去工作，如果好心的人看到了，也許會多給幾個工錢，他們也只會憨笑又羞怯的說一句：謝謝老闆！
這樣的故事，還有很多很多。我不忍心再寫下去，真的不知該怎麼寫下去？我想問：我們的人性呢？！我們的良心呢？！
農民工，他們很不幸運，可是他們都很善良。他們，有的見義勇為，有的樂意助人，他們是我們食物來源的創造者，他們是每座城市繁榮的建設者，他們是每條街區干凈的守護者……
他們不是工程師，也不是美容師，更不是救世主。他們只是農民工而已，然而，就是這么一群普通的不能再普通的平凡老百姓，卻讓我們過上的幸福快樂的生活。
在我看來，農民工是堅強的，好樣的！他們賣力的幹活，賺回來的血汗錢，自己捨不得多花一分，就寄回了家鄉。好讓父母多享一點清福，好讓妻子多過一點好日子，好讓兒女多讀一點書……
而自己卻置身在整個城市最混亂的地帶。他們為城市的現代化，奉獻了太多太多，獲取的報酬卻很少很少。還時不時遭人冷眼，受人欺凌。不是他們沒出息，也不是他們沒本事，只是每個人都有自己的生存法則。出來工作，大家都不容易。我們應該要向農民工緻敬！不是嗎？！
親愛的人們啊！請關注弱勢群體。農民工也是人，他們也為社會創造了福利與價值。可是，他們得到的往往卻與貢獻的成反比。這不是我們中國建設和諧社會的目標，和諧社會，大家一樣貴！親愛的人們啊！請呼籲社會群眾，讓我們表一份心，盡一份力吧！對於農民工，我們理應懷著敬重與感恩之心。
