尋找失物信的目的是要收信人幫助尋找失物並將其返還失主。
寫作策略：
首段：表明與收信人的相關性，說明寫作意圖。因為你要麻煩收信人，一般還可以在首段表示必要的歉意。
主體段落：說明失物的具體內容以及失物的重要性。
結尾段：說明如找到失物如何將其返還失主，並對收信人表達謝忱。
一般來說，這種信中的寫信人與收信人是相互認識的，注意稱呼語的使用。
