六單元注重的是一個很重要的比較級句型，比較一個人和另一個人的不同，有這樣一個句型：A+be+adj（比較級）+than+B（這里的A、B指人或物，adj是形容詞）。六單元有這樣一對重要句子，這一個句子一弄懂，六單元基本上沒問題了： Tom has longer hair than Sam. =Tom's hair is longer than Sam's.（注意！這里的Sam後面的s不能掉，這里的Sam's代指Sam's hair，屬於本單元的一個難點。）

如果說六單元的作文，應該就是向別人介紹一個人和另一個人的不同，但可考性不大，片語也沒有多少，但要記住形容詞和副詞的比較級，什麼詞的比較級只在詞的前面加more，什麼詞的比較級只在後面加-er，是本單元要記硬背的一個東西。
