Secondly, student activities play an important role in our college life. To be honest, the student Union is a good place where one can develop social skills, get his abilities trained. 一、循序漸進，注重基本訓練
英語屬於結構語言，它有自己的基本句型、固定搭配、固定短語等，這些都是不可變的，要想在寫作中用上它們，用好它們，必須加強這方面的基本訓練，加強五種基本句型結構教學。幾乎所有的英語句型都是五種句型的擴大、延伸或變化，因此訓練學生「寫」就要抓住五種基本句型的訓練，讓他們把這五種基本句型記牢，不斷運用。五種基本句型是：
（1）S＋V；
（2）S＋V＋O；
（3）S＋V＋O＋O；
（4）S＋V＋P；
（5）S＋V＋O＋C.
英語寫作能力必須由淺入深、由簡到繁、由易到難、循序漸進、一環緊扣一環地進行訓練。因此，教師應注重抓基本功訓練，嚴格要求學生正確、端正、熟練地書寫字母、單詞和句子，注意大小寫和標點符號。進行組詞造句、組句成段練習時，要求學生寫出最簡單的短句。其次，在加強簡單句訓練的成熟之際，適當鼓勵學生嘗試寫一些復合句，以此增強文章色彩。
二、常抓聽寫和翻譯
聽寫能促使學生掌握單詞和短語拼寫。該法簡單有效，易操作。每天堅持讓學生聽寫，不過關者重復聽寫，直至過關為止。漢譯英練習能夠幫助學生熟悉和運用教材每單元的重點
短語，但機械、呆板的翻譯練習往往使學生厭煩。教師在布置翻譯練習時，不妨創造性地利用教材，以學生的興趣、愛好或熟知的事物為出發點來設計練習。
三、多讀多背
學生寫作能力，不是老師講出來的而是學生練出來的。課堂上的訓練、講評很重要但學生基本功和課外知識的積累卻是重中之重。我認為要求學生平時多讀多背好文章、好句子、諺語、俗語，會對書面表達的提高起到畫龍點睛的作用，而這些句子、文章往往就在我們身邊。例如：
