目前筆者所在地區採用的是新編北師大版高中英語教材。這套教材一大優點在於其語言材料的組織都是圍繞某個主題展開的。每單元有一個主題，下面每一課都有自己的話題，對於這些話題學生都較感興趣，有話可說。這樣的教材編排特點適合開展主題寫作活動。每個單元的前三課或四課是單元話題下的基本詞彙、短語、句型和語法項目的學習，Communication Workshop是對單元知識的擴展和綜合運用，通常有基於單元話題的寫作指導及任務。學生獲得的單元基礎語言知識以及他們運用語言知識的准確和熟練程度，完全可以通過話題寫作活動來檢驗和強化，而且主題寫作活動可以體現語言學習的價值和意義。
（二） 主題寫作教學實例
下面結合新編北師大版高中英語教材第7模塊，第21單元的主題寫作教學案例進行探析。
本單元的話題是人類生物學，通過單元學習，學生應能夠流利地運用單元目標詞彙和基本句型來討論有關人類科學的相關話題。食物、健康和醫學是人類生存和發展中永恆的話題。學生對人類科學有較為濃厚的興趣，所以此單元話題下的寫作圍繞人類發展展開，貼近學生的生活，易於激發學生的寫作興趣。學生對單元主題詞彙和基礎語句已經有了一定的掌握和積累，能夠用單元基礎語言材料組織語句，表達自己的想法。教師在指導學生進行主題寫作時，完全可以依託單元話題語料。
克隆人是在人類生物學發展到今天無法迴避的話題，但具有極大爭議性，這種本身有爭議的話題正適合本單元Communication Workshop的寫作要求Learn to write a discursive essay，此文體要求學生第一段介紹話題，第二三段分述反面觀點及正面觀點，最後一段給出個人觀點。但由於克隆人在現實世界中還沒有出現，同時又遠離學生生活，因此為了給學生帶來更直觀的感受，教師最好課前布置所有同學回家觀看電影《逃離克隆島》，這部電影探討了科隆人及其引發的道德問題。
課堂上教師首先利用大量的與主題相關的圖片、電影片段等創設談論克隆人的氛圍，讓學生用英語表明自己對克隆人這一科學話題的態度。這一活動激活了學生寫作所需的話題詞彙，可以作為寫前的熱身。從交際功能的角度講，這樣的聽、說形式的語言活動，不但不會沖擊主題寫作活動，反而與主題寫作教學是相互統一、相互促進的。
在完成上述活動後，教師引導學生通過小組合作寫一段話介紹克隆人話題並過渡到Should Human Cloning be allowed?這一主題上。這一活動調動了學生的寫作積極性和主動參與意識，在輕松活躍的氛圍中強化了其對概括技巧的理解和運用，學生的語言儲備和發散思維得到充分激活，他們更加愉悅和主動地參與主題討論，為下一步的寫作活動做好前期准備。
在完成上述活動的基礎上，通過課本P99的Writing Help引導學生通過小組協作完成a discursive essay的後三段提綱，要求第二三段分別寫出中心句及至少兩個論據。基於小組活動的寫作練習實際上幫助學生搜集有說服力的論據並克服對寫作的畏難情緒，讓他們有信心完成寫作。這種形式的寫作訓練強化了學生的語言運用技能，幫助學生初步完成單元寫作要求，培養學生的寫作思維和寫作能力。
教師可以要求學生在寫完提綱後，同伴間相互交換檢查，檢查內容包括拼寫、用詞是否准確，句式是否准確，語法是否准確，語言表達是否流暢、豐富等。互評可以鼓勵學生間健康向上的競爭，激發競爭意識，促使每個學生盡力提供最好的作品，並且糾錯之一的過程有時語言知識的再現和再復習過程，能夠使學生在交流中得到更多的幫助，收獲不同的語言思維和語言表達方式，補充和豐富自己的語言學習。
在提綱寫作的基礎上，引導學生利用Writing Help中的格式要求(正式與中立的風格)，以及Communication Workshop中的連接詞（although, even though, however, therefore, while）獨立完成寫作任務。此寫作活動充分強化了有關連接詞的理解即運用，提高了學生的寫作能力。
學生最終完成習作後，將學生的作文張貼在教師里，讓學生互相批閱。學生互相批閱能激發他們主動尋找差距的意識，也是對單元目標語言再理解、再鞏固的過程。學生從另外的角度反思自己習作中的語言運用，強化語用意識和語言運用能力。教師在學生批閱完後，可再作進一步檢查。這屬於指導性主題寫作。通過教師不同程度的引導和幫助，學生將自己要表達的思想通過一定的邏輯組織後用文字表達出來。
這種主題寫作練習可以是獨立完成，也可以是小組合作，方式可以靈活多樣。指導性主題寫作是介於模仿性寫作和自由寫作之間的過渡性寫作，學生在進行大量的模仿性寫作練習和指導性寫作練習後，才能掌握一定的寫作技巧，從而進行自由寫作。指導性主題寫作可以幫助學生從原始的模仿性單元語料學習過渡到具有創造性的.基礎語言運用，提升綜合語言運用能力。
六、結束語
隨著課程標准對學生寫作技巧要求的提高，寫作教學的地位越來越重要，每一位教師都在摸索寫作教學的可行方法。有些教師認為，寫作就是讓學生堅持不懈地寫；有些教師認為，寫作就是要套用各種範例；還有些教師認為，學生必須多背才能寫好作文。這些方法都有一定的可行性和效果。提高學生的寫作能力必須建立在一定的基礎上，如學生的寫作興趣、寫作願望、成就感等。要想滿足學生的這些心理需求，教師就必須從挖掘課程資源入手，設計主題寫作活動，讓學生在輕松活躍的寫作氛圍中主動運用單元目標語言，同時教師要善於發現學生習作中的閃光點和不足之處，讓學生在展現自我的過程中提高英語寫作能力。

按系統論的觀點，外語教學是一個系統，寫作教學是其中的一個子系統，與聽、說、讀等教學共同構成一個科學的大系統，它是由英語詞彙、語法、主題及其寫作手法等互相依賴、互相作用的諸要素組成的有機整體。在小學階段，大部分老師都非常注重學生的聽、說和閱讀能力的培養和訓練，往往忽視了寫作能力的訓練，認為這是中學的要求，或者是因為覺得寫作教學難，教師批改學生作文也難，因此一般對閱讀理解較重視，而對寫的重要性認識不足，忽視學生寫的能力培養。我認為英語寫作能喚起學生對所學或所掌握的語言的感覺；其次，每一次單元測試和期末考試，寫作(寫話)也佔了一定的比例。因此，在小學高年級，英語的寫作訓練與聽、說、讀的`訓練同等重要。
一、小學英語話題寫作的概念
小學高年級的英語寫作是指學生能在教師指導下，圍繞一個主題自覺運用所學的單詞、句型起草一篇短小的習作或一兩段話，初步能注意英漢的差異，能使用正確的英語表達法。
二、英語寫作教學的目的
1、提高學生綜合運用語言的能力；
2、發展學生從口頭表達轉向書面表達的能力；
3、讓學生主動地整合所學的語法、句型等知識點，把它們變成一個有機的整體。
三、英語寫作的常用模式
1、填空式寫法
英語語音教學強調模仿，但英語寫作教學卻忽視模仿的作用。寫作起步階段可多進行摹仿寫。填空式寫作是保留文章或對話的主幹，適當地調換內容讓學生換上其它人、事和物進行填空。其優點是既降低寫作難度，激發學生寫作興趣，又可加深對課文的理解，特別是新舊單詞的綜合運用；缺點是學生有可能忽視語法、時態問題，在培養學生創造力方面有欠缺。通常可以在每學完一篇課文或對話後，讓學生進行填空寫作。
2、仿例寫法
學完一個完整的單元，為了幫助學生系統歸納、整理語言知識點，教師根據本
單元的教學要點，圍繞一個人、一件事或一個動物寫一篇短文，要求學生注意模仿例文的時態和語態仿寫。通過仿寫訓練，能引起學生對英語時態和語態的重視。例如一般現在時主語是第三人稱單數，動詞加「s」或「es」,這是學習的難點。我讓學生先寫一寫自己一天的生活，然後調查一個朋友或親人一天的生活，模仿例文仿寫。通過對比，使學生對同一時態不同人稱動詞的運用有了更深刻的理解，而不僅僅停留在記憶的層面上，也可免去老師重重復復的講解和提醒。
3、啟示式寫法
前兩種寫法的缺點是局限較大，不能發揮學生創造力，習作不能體現學生個性。啟示式寫法是在學生有了一定習作基礎和語感上，稍高層次的寫作訓練。師生共同圍繞一個話題討論寫作內容，列出寫作提綱，然後學生根據提綱自由發揮起草一段話。例如，師生圍繞「zoo animals」這個話題進行討論，得出可從「外形、能力、生活習性，來源國」等幾方面進行描述。學生自由發揮，寫出頗具個人特色小文章。此法的優點是既可體現學生個性，也避免學生跑題等現象的發生。
4、命題式寫法
此寫法給予學生更大創意空間，難度也更大。教師只給予題目或主題，學生通過啟動自身知識體系的搜索引擎，自主地搜集相關資料進行寫作。例如寫「Seasons in Guangzhou」,學生仔細瀏覽我設計的相關網頁，選取某一個季節中一兩個感興趣的主題來表述，如「氣候、衣著、食物和活動」等等。選題要與學生生活密切相關，並能激起他們寫作的慾望；切忌主題過大，會讓學生無所適從或無從下手。
四、注重寫作策略的指導
1、「聯系」和「遷移」
在寫作課「zoo animals」上，我讓學生討論這個主題可以涵括的內容，要求學生在已有的詞彙、句型中進行分析，提取相關信息，再綜合運用。實際上就是要求學生聯系所學知識，是對學生分析綜合能力的訓練。這時候，學生認為這足以能指導完成寫作了，他們的思維通常到這個階段就停滯不前了。但教師還應該培養學生遷移的能力，即把這種思考方式遷移到其他內容的寫作上去，做到舉一反三。
2、注意英漢差異，正確使用英語表達法
許多學生寫英文短文，都習慣用漢語去思考。結果寫出來的句子，讀起來很拗口，句意生硬，令人費解。其原因就在於學生不明白英漢兩種語言表達上的差異。例如，漢語中沒有時態和語態的復雜變化，只藉助於助詞「著，了，過」；而英語則有復雜的時態和語態變化。再如，英語中名詞分（1）可數名詞———單數名詞———復數名詞--規則名詞復數的變化；不規則名詞復數的變化（2）不可數名詞：water furniture , advice （3）名詞單復數相同：sheep , deer , fish （4）既能可數又不可數的名詞：hair , wood , pa?鄄per , rain , sand 。動詞短語，介詞短語等一些固定搭配，動詞與其主語的一致，稱謂的一致，等等。這些差異只要通過不斷的積累和運用，才能逐步達到恰到好處。英語寫作才能更規范，更標准，更符合英美人的表達習慣。
3、充分利用小組合作學習的力量。
通過小組成員相互鑒賞閱讀，學會欣賞和借鑒別人的好詞好句。
五、培養自改作文的能力，發揮學生主動性
我們總碰到這種現象：學生寫完作文不經修改就交給老師，對老師形成依賴心理。在寫作的初級階段，可採取師生共同改一篇習作，指出學生普遍性錯誤，提醒學生注意；鼓勵學生同一個意思用不同的表達方式。我認為修改階段是反饋機制下的一個開放性過程，是通過師生信息互動，使學生的作文逐步完善的過程。採取反饋和同伴間互相閱讀作文的方法，也可以形成一種語言意識。學生既是作者又是讀者，他們通過批評性地閱讀別人的作文，可以學到更多的寫作知識和技巧；他們時刻留心語法及用詞錯誤，寫作時開始想到的是讀者（而非教師）。學生作文經教師批改後，修訂工作是通過個人作業和小組活動相結合進行的。這種做法能使學生學得更深、更廣、更活，還能培養學生總結歸納的能力。
總之，學生英語寫作能力在教師有計劃的組織、有序的訓練和耐心幫助、正確引導下，通過學生自主、積極密切的配合是能夠得以逐步提高的。
