那是一個夏季的夜晚，爸爸還沒有下班，我和媽媽吃完晚飯便在家裡等爸爸。過了好久，爸爸才下班回來。我撲到爸爸身上問：「爸爸，您怎麼才回來啊？」爸爸說：「今天科里開會,所以下班晚了一些。」爸爸吃完飯，坐在書桌前剛要學習。突然，電話鈴響了，他連忙過去接電話。爸爸邊聽電話邊皺眉頭，我連忙問：「怎麼啦？」爸爸抱歉地說：「醫院里有位病人急需搶救，要我馬上去一下。」還沒等我說話，爸爸已經走了。我和媽媽只好在家裡等爸爸。大約過了三四個小時，門鈴聲響了，我便去開門，原來是我親愛的爸爸回來了。從他的眼神中就可以看出病人得救了。這時，爸爸又坐在書桌前准備看書了，我心疼地問：「爸爸，別看了，睡覺吧！」爸爸說：「不，你先睡吧。」我只好上了床。這時我看到爸爸的眼裡布滿了血絲。
