㈠ 音樂各種風格的英語簡稱
簡稱如下：
1、POP：流行音樂。
全稱是Popular Music。流行音樂19世紀末20世紀初起源於美國，從音樂體系看，流行音樂是在叮砰巷歌曲、布魯斯、爵士樂、搖滾樂、索爾音樂等美國大眾音樂架構基礎上發展起來的音樂。其風格多樣，形態豐富。
2、CLASS：古典音樂
古典音樂（classical music）本來是專指德奧在1750—1830年間以海頓、莫扎特、貝多芬為代表的音樂，即所謂「維也納古典樂派」的音樂（或翻譯為「維也納古典主義音樂」）。這是狹義的古典音樂。
古典音樂是具有規則性本質的音樂，具有平衡、明晰的特點，注重形式的美感，被認為具有持久的價值，而不僅僅是在一個特定的時代流行。這也體現於「古典」（classical）與「經典」（classic）的不同
3、ROCK：搖滾音樂
也稱搖滾樂，簡稱搖滾，英文全稱為Rock and Roll(以下簡稱搖滾樂或搖滾)。起源於20世紀40年代末期，興起於20世紀50年代中期，來源於美國。隨後在英國也開始出現並得到蓬勃發展。
搖滾樂主要受到節奏布魯斯、鄉村音樂和叮砰巷音樂的影響發展而來。早期搖滾樂很多都是黑人節奏布魯斯的翻唱版，因而節奏布魯斯是其主要根基。搖滾樂分支眾多，形態復雜，主要風格有:民謠搖滾、藝術搖滾、迷幻搖滾、鄉村搖滾、重金屬、朋克等。

4、JAZZ：爵士音樂
全稱JAZZ MUSIC，於19世紀末20世紀初源於美國，誕生於南部港口城市新奧爾良，音樂根基來自布魯斯和拉格泰姆。爵士樂講究即興，以具有搖擺特點的Shuffle節奏為基礎，是非洲黑人文化和歐洲白人文化的結合。
20世紀前十幾年爵士樂主要集中在新奧爾良發展，1917年後轉向芝加哥，30年代又轉移至紐約，直至今天，爵士樂風靡全球。爵士樂的主要風格有：新奧爾良爵士、搖擺樂、比博普、冷爵士、自由爵士、拉丁爵士、融合爵士等。
5、blues：藍調
美國流行音樂形式。又譯為藍色音調，即藍調。原意為在感情上悲傷的意思。在黑人歌曲中，有一大部分都是描寫生離死別之情，抒發憂傷凄慘的內容，用布魯斯一詞來概括十分貼切，久用成習，就成了這一類黑人歌曲的總稱，進而成為美國黑人音樂中一種典型的曲調。
6、Ballad：民謠
民間流行的、賦予民族色彩的歌曲，稱為民謠或民歌。民謠的歷史悠遠，故其作者多不知名。民謠的內容豐富，有宗教的、愛情的、戰爭的、工作的，也有飲酒、舞蹈作樂、祭典等等。
民謠表現一個民族的感情與習尚，因此各有其獨特的音階與情調風格。如法國民謠的蓬勃、義大利民謠的熱情、英國民謠的淳樸、日本民謠的悲憤、西班牙民謠的狂放不羈、中國民謠的纏綿悱惻，都表現了強烈的民族氣質與色彩。

Traditional Chinese music has tonality, just like Chinese language.
