英語四級作文常見類型
從作文類型來看，對比選擇類、現象解釋類、問題解決類以及應用文類是考查的重點。
從題材來看，一般考查兩類話題，一類是校園生活話題，包括學習、日常生活、工作及健康交際等;另一類是社會熱點話題，考生對這類話題比較熟悉。兩類相結合的趨勢越來越大。

三、比較法
通過對過去、現在兩種不同的傾向、觀點的比較，引出文章要討論的觀點。

四、觀點法
開門見山，直接了當地提出自己對要討論的問題的看法。

五、對立法

B. 英語四級考試的作文
背幾個萬能句子，就是不管出什麼題目，都能用上的。再背幾篇範文。寫專的時候一般分成三部分：一屬、點題，開門見山，來個總句點明文章主題。這是一段。
二、分兩段或三段論述，每一段都要有主旨句，就放到開頭好了，然後寫first

4、圖表評論作文
根據給定的某事件相關數據，進行數據分析，並對圖表中數據反映的直觀現象和深層含義進行評論。這類題同圖畫評論作文一樣，要先對圖表進行描述，然後再對內容進行探討和評論。
5、應用文
應用文考的比較多的是書信或電子郵件的書寫。2013年12月的六級考試作文中有要求考生寫求職信的題目，這類題目雖然考試幾率較低，但是同學們也一定要了解書信的格式。
(5)英語四級綜合性作文擴展閱讀：
報名條件
1、考試對象限制在普通高校內部四年制或以上根據教育大綱修完大學英語四級的在校大學本科生或研究生；
2、同等程度的大專生或碩士研究生經所在學校同意，可在本校報名參加考試；
3、同等程度的夜大或函授大學學生經所在學校同意，可在本校報名參加考試；
從2007年1月的考試開始，大學英語四六級考試將不再對社會考生開放，只對在校大學生開放。
報名方法
以學校為單位自願參加，集體報名； 考試日若考生在外地實習，仍應在所在學校報名；
報名截止後，不再接受報名。
