众所周知，在每一个繁华的都市，都汇聚了来自大江南北的人们。显而易见，在男女老少的队伍中，少不了外来打工的农民群众。他们是社会最底层的劳动者，也是城市里独特的一个群体。随着现代化的高速发展，他们家乡的土地一块一块的被承包，被占用，最终都卖给了开发商。无田可耕、无地可种的他们，为了一家老小的生计，不得不背井离乡的来到城市谋生。在繁华的都市，他们时常遭遇不平等的对待，也时常遭遇歧视、冷漠和排斥。当今社会，他们总是被定义为：穷、脏、俗。每当有抢劫、盗窃，人们也总是把目光投向农民工。我想说，他们有什么错？！难道就因为他们没文化、没地位、没品味吗？！工业毁了他们的家园，他们却还要反过来为工业发展做服务。
他们顶着烈日，挥汗如雨；
他们冒着严寒，瑟瑟发抖……
但是，有谁看到他们后退一步？！有谁听到他们说过辛苦？！在恶劣的工作环境下，他们盖起了一幢幢的高楼，建成了一道道马路，铺好了一条条铁轨，架起了一座座桥梁……
他们当中还有一些人，每天为城市清理好每一条街道，疏通好每一节下水道，把我们不愿意搬的物件搬运到家门口；有时候，他们甚至冒险替我们修理好坏了的电缆线……
有谁敢说他们卑微？！有谁敢说他们渺小？！我们有什么资格取笑他们？！我们有什么权力鄙视
他们？！他们是高尚的，他们是伟大的，因为，他们能做到的，我们不一定能做得到，也未必做得好。
有这么几则关于农民工的报导：
在炎炎夏日，有一位农民工拖着重重的行李，吃力的上了一辆公共汽车。因为天气实在太闷热，农民工汗流浃背，也因为风尘仆仆，他浑身散发阵阵汗臭味，引起一名乘客破口大骂，甚至命令他立刻下车。原因就是嫌农民工太脏，影响市容。农民工无辜又无助的看着对方，一遍一遍的道歉着，然后，他默默的移走到一个拐角，当时，车上的空位还有很多，可是，农民工却颤颤巍巍的站立着，他再也不敢坐下来，生怕别人嫌他太脏，也怕弄脏了座位，别人不好坐。
有一名女子，在某处风景区观光，一路上吃着零食，吃完的包装袋随地乱扔，一位上了年纪的清洁工一路跟在她后面，一次一次的弯腰捡起垃圾，又一次一次的丢进垃圾桶。本以为那名女子会自觉的遵守公共环境，谁知她非但不改，竟然更加随意。清洁工实在看不过去，就上前说了一句“请不要随地丢垃圾，旁边就有垃圾桶”。那名女子却回了一句“如果人人都把垃圾丢进垃圾桶，那么还要你们这些人干什么”？清洁工听完之后，再也没说任何话，蹲下身子捡起垃圾，转身扔进了垃圾桶。随后，默默的走了……
一位安装工，在一个有20多层高的单位外墙，脚踩着狭小的空间，他的腰间，只系着一条安全带，成功的完成了电器安装和调试。这样飞檐走壁的工人，一天可能要完成三四个任务。他们冒着生命危险去工作，如果好心的人看到了，也许会多给几个工钱，他们也只会憨笑又羞怯的说一句：谢谢老板！
这样的故事，还有很多很多。我不忍心再写下去，真的不知该怎么写下去？我想问：我们的人性呢？！我们的良心呢？！
农民工，他们很不幸运，可是他们都很善良。他们，有的见义勇为，有的乐意助人，他们是我们食物来源的创造者，他们是每座城市繁荣的建设者，他们是每条街区干净的守护者……
他们不是工程师，也不是美容师，更不是救世主。他们只是农民工而已，然而，就是这么一群普通的不能再普通的平凡老百姓，却让我们过上的幸福快乐的生活。
在我看来，农民工是坚强的，好样的！他们卖力的干活，赚回来的血汗钱，自己舍不得多花一分，就寄回了家乡。好让父母多享一点清福，好让妻子多过一点好日子，好让儿女多读一点书……
而自己却置身在整个城市最混乱的地带。他们为城市的现代化，奉献了太多太多，获取的报酬却很少很少。还时不时遭人冷眼，受人欺凌。不是他们没出息，也不是他们没本事，只是每个人都有自己的生存法则。出来工作，大家都不容易。我们应该要向农民工致敬！不是吗？！
亲爱的人们啊！请关注弱势群体。农民工也是人，他们也为社会创造了福利与价值。可是，他们得到的往往却与贡献的成反比。这不是我们中国建设和谐社会的目标，和谐社会，大家一样贵！亲爱的人们啊！请呼吁社会群众，让我们表一份心，尽一份力吧！对于农民工，我们理应怀着敬重与感恩之心。
