Tai Shan (Peace Mountain) is one of the five Daoist sacred mountains in China. Because of its history it is the most climbed mountain in China.

一、调查的背景与目的：
随着社会生活的信息化、经济活动的全球化、文化习俗的多元化，英语教学，成为当今基础教育的一大热点，也是家长和学校关注的焦点，因此广大教师都在追求高质量的英语课堂教学。《英语课程标准》明确提出：在义务教育阶段，英语课程的目标是激发和培养学生的学习兴趣，帮助学生树立信心，养成良好的学习习惯，发展自主学习的能力，形成有效的学习策略......所以，在新课程理念下，研究英语课堂教学模式是我国基础教育的一个重要课题。
为此，做如下设计问卷，并进行了“初中英语课堂教学模式”的问卷调查。
此次问卷调查，目的在于准确地把握当前初中学生学习英语的心里和现状，加强针对性研究，有效推动《中学英语不同课型教学模式研究》课题的深入开展，为接下来的研究提供客观依据，以期探索初中学生学习英语的最佳方法与途径，形成模式，从而提高农村初中学校英语教学的效率。
二、调查的对象、内容和方法：
1、调查对象：本校三个年级共44个教学班，三个年级共发放60份问卷，回收有效问卷50份，其中，七年级回收12份，八年级回收18份，九年级回收20份。

学生问卷从英语教师、学生、英语语言学习环境等多维设置，内容涵盖了教学内容、教学方法、教学手段、教学评价以及课外学习资源等多方面，设置了主、客观两种问题。
（2）、座谈会与个案访谈
在调查阶段，我们召开了教师座谈会以及学生个案访谈。这些座谈会与访谈为我们提供了大量的生动典型材料，而且为理性分析提供了基础。
三、调查结果与分析
通过本次问卷调查以及座谈会与个案访谈，得知九年级有37.3%的学生喜欢老师课堂语言中英结合， 66.7%的学生喜欢老师主要使用英语教学。而七年级学生普遍希望教师用汉语组织教学，高达71.1%。绝大多数学生认为英语课堂对自己的英语提高有很大帮助。学生把影响学习英语兴趣的主要原因归咎于教师、课程内容或设备环境等方面，必须指出的是：慈祥、幽默、一视同仁、有扎实英语专业知识的老师是学生心目中的好老师，学生的向师性比较明显。学生学习英语的主要困难低年级学生集中在词汇的记忆上（占53.9%），而高年级学生集中于写作上（占66.1%）。90.3%的学生渴望轻松活跃的英语课，绝大部分学生相信教师使用多媒体教学，开展课外英语活动会提高学生学习英语的兴趣，但是，主动寻求课外学习资源的仅占9.8%。关于学习英语过程中遇到的问题，大多数学生选择积累或忽视不理，出错时希望老师帮助指出错误的占52.1%，主动说英语的更是微乎其微。通过个案访谈，我们发现绝大部分学生最希望得到老师或同学的肯定评价。
综合调查分析，问题突出体现在以下几个层面：
1、英语教师方面。
在中考指挥棒的指引下，目前初中英语教师英语教学突出“四重”：重教材、重讲解、重传统、重尖子。
2、学生方面。
学生学习英语问题可归为“四缺”：缺目的、缺兴趣、缺信心、缺方法。
四、解决问题的有效对策。
1、对教师的要求。
（1）、恰当安排教学内容，体现教学目标。
事实证明，当学生对某事物感兴趣时，最能诱发好奇心与内驱力，激起求知的欲望。课堂教学中要恰当安排教学内容，使教学内容变得新颖、有趣。我们可以以句型引出单词、词组，把单词、词组放到一定的英语语境中，再通过进行围绕此单词、词组的其它操练，达到掌握单词、词组的目的，这样就达成了教学目标。
（2）、积极创设教学情境。
语言学家克鲁姆说过：成功的外语课堂教学应该是创造更多的情境，让学生有机会用语言材料。语言是交际的工具，交际总是在一定的情境中进行的。交际离不开情境，同时也离不开语言。在教学中创设语言情境，加强变式练习，同时也能激发学生学习英语的兴趣。教师可将教学目标外化为一个学生容易接受的情境，让学生身临其境，有直观的形象可以把握，有浓厚的情绪氛围可以感受，让学生先感受、后表达。教师在创设教学情境之时，应以“形”为手段，以“趣”为突破口，以“情”为纽带，以“生活再现”为智慧的源泉，以和谐的师生关系为保证，使学生在学习的过程中获得求知、认知的乐趣，使教学真正成为生动活泼和自我需求的活动。
（3）、不同课型，争取用不同的教学模式。
教育家苏霍姆林斯基说：“教师如果不想方设法使学生产生情绪高昂和智力振奋的内心状态，而只是不动感情的脑力劳动，就会带来疲倦。”教学方法是形成最佳课堂气氛的重要保证。教学方法的恰当选择与发挥，是教师创造性与教育艺术性表现的主要形式。为培养学生学习英语兴趣，教师可以在课堂中恰当地运用听说法、视听法、情境教学法、交际法、TPR(全部动作反应法）等方法，利用图片、幻灯、录音、多媒体等教学手段进行听说练习，并配合唱歌、游戏、扮演角色进行表演、设计各类主题活动等，使课堂教学生动活泼，学生人人参与教学活动，体现学生的主体性。
2、对学生的要求。
（1）、明确目标。
“目标是驶向理想彼岸的船”。因此，作为学生应该明确自己学英语的目的是什么，以考试为目的，往往是不可取的。随着中国改革的不断深入，中国的经济发展也越来越快，综合国力越来越强。为了适应经济发展和科技进步，我们学英语应该是学会运用，而不是单单为了考试，甚至家长、老师的压力而学。
（2）找准学习方法。
“方法是成功的重要手段。”学会学习比学会知识更重要。学会学习实质上就是要学会在未来社会怎样生存。现在很多学生找不到适应自己的学习方法，总是盲目地、拼命地、不加选择地、忙忙碌碌地埋头苦学，结果是所学知识杂乱无章，学习效果不佳，甚至劳而无获，学习成绩下降，导致对学习失去兴趣。
对于学生的学法要做到“三适应”。首先要和老师的教法适应，学生应该适应老师的教法，从而找出适合自己的学法。其次，学法应该适应教材与新课标要求，学习难易程度决定学法不同。最后，学法应该适应时代要求，现代社会要求学生具备自主学习、合作学习、探究学习等综合学习能力。
3、对社会、学校与家长的期望。
今天的青少年学生是祖国的未来，民族的希望，我们社会，包括学校与家长，应该对他们多一点关爱与支持，多一份理解与宽容。在他们的英语学习方面，给他们创造更多的英语语言学习与应用语言环境；同时，我们应该重视英语教科研活动，在课堂教学设备上多投入，掀起新一轮全民学英语的热潮。
