❷ 四级英语要掌握多少单词啊
要求是4500个,但是掌握5000多个才能考比较理想的分数哦。
词汇复习方法
更新时间:2005-11-18 浏览次数:8
词汇对于英语学习的重要性,在这里不再赘述了。总之一句话,要想学好英语,要想顺利通过各种英语考试,积累一定量的词汇都是必须的,这点无用质疑。
对于6级词汇,由于其大大区别于4级词汇难度,而向中级难度的词汇过度,是需要下一番工夫专门记忆的。通过对十几套词汇真题的统计,我们可以得到这样的提示:对动词要给予最高程度的重视,基本要求是在阅读文章中见到的都应该认识。形容词,副词(以形容词为主)的表现力也很丰富,因而也是学习的重点。名词基本上都是比较常见的,不会出现极专业化的词汇,词组考得就更少了,建议大家在阅读中记忆常见的,而不需专门记忆。
关于记忆方法,其实是比较仁者见仁的东西,我在这里要说的只是背单词的几个基本原则。6级词汇有1500左右,我建议大家把这1500个分为30个list(每个list50词左右),至于先背A后背A等问题,我觉得无所谓,不少朋友说由A背到Z太心烦,可偶从4—6—托—G就是按照这样的次序背的,感觉也不坏呀!这完全是个人习惯吧。
具体操作:
1。第一遍要快,每天一个list,50个词,一个月完成。
有人做过一个统计,普通人每日记忆词汇的极限是80个(全部新词),每天背50个,而且还有认识的,应该不算很多吧?:)第一遍是最难背的,一定要坚持下来!这一遍的目的是全面掌握大纲词汇。最新的一次6级考试证明,只背词频已经远远不够,还是掌握的全面些为好。背完第一遍就要马上转到阅读,听力等的复习中来,进一步巩固词汇。到这时,每天也要抽出一定的时间(半小时以下)专门复习词汇,这个时间应该越来越短,当你不到半小时就能复习一遍所有词汇时,词汇就基本背完了。
附:偶的背词方法:
第1天 list 1
第2天 list 2 list 1
第3天 list 3 list 2 list 1
第4天 list 4 list 3 list 2 list 1
第5天 list 5 list 4 list 3 list 2 list 1
第五天过后,list1已经背完5遍
第6天 list 6 list 5 list 4 list 3 list 2
第7天 list 7 list 6 list 5 list 4 list 3
```````
这样继续下去,直到所有的list前都被你划了一个“正”:)
2。被单词要少量多次。
我推荐每天早晚各抽出45分钟背,平时一有空闲,就可以复习。
3。学而时习之。
在不熟悉的词前加标号,以便第2天重点复习。
4。结合做题背单词
推荐丁老师的《通过练习学词汇》,作为阶段成果的检验。即便作得很差也可以激励你更加努力。
5。特殊词要用特殊记法。
比如abacus(爱拨个死),就是算盘;dilute=di(分开)+lute(冲) 就是“冲淡”的意思
6。持之以恒.
特别提示:如果第6点做不到,以上所有都没有用!!
洋洋洒洒,废话不少。希望对大家能有些用。祝大家早日拿下词汇,顺利通过那个令你又爱又恨的英语6级考试!!
以下是本人在背英语四级单词的时候,总结出来的三个小窍门,经过亲身体验觉得非常不错现向大家推荐,各位网友朋友们不妨自己试一试:
1.背单词要背得好,要背得快,最基本的原则是脑子不断地想单词,让单词不断地从脑子里过,看书看10遍,还不如脑子过一遍。要做到单词在脑子里过的次数比在书本上过的次数多得多,要做到完全抛开书本,不依赖书本,不拿书的时候也在想单词、背单词。要尽量在单词被忘记之前在脑子里过一遍,这样,它留给你的印象要深得多,就算以后忘记,也很容易记起来。
2.背单词时还要注意在单词之间建立联系。当然,刚开始时可能能建立的联系很少,但要注意培养这种意识,争取一串串地背单词,看见一个,就能想起一串。比如,同义的单词一块儿记,反义的、形似的、分类的、词根的,背单词一段时间之后,就应该看到该单词,想一想以前学过什么同义的,如果只有印象而想不起来,最好在一个笔记本上记一笔,下次碰到该单词时,特别注意。比如,背单词一段时间后,应该问自己:我一共学了多少关于衣服的词?如果你只记得中文意思,想不起英文,下次就要特别注意了。或者你看到holograph的时候是否能想起homograph? 虽然有些书给你整理了一些联系,可我觉得自己总结的才会印象最深。
这样,单词之间建立联系后,不拿书本的时候你也能利用这些联系不断地想单词,当某一个单词记不起来时,就要注意了。不妨看后面的单词时,就不断地想前面学过的单词中有哪些类似的,或意思相反的,把有联系的单词的页数写在单词旁,每当看到这个单词时,总想起和它有关的单词,想不起时再根据页数翻看。如果有印象而想不起来,就在笔记本上记一笔,下次补上。
3.背单词时不要在一个单词上花的时间太多,根本不用超过一分钟,像扫描般一掠而过。只是重复的次数要多,特别在脑子里重复的次数要比在书本上重复的次数多得多。其他方法还有听录音带,背单词软件等等。不时翻一翻别的单词书也挺有用,因为有新鲜感。
❸ 英语四级考试词汇
英语四级考试大纲要求的词汇量分别是4500。
背单词的主要任务是解决三类词专,名词,动词属,形容词。但是名词其实是可以描述的,操作方法为:功能作用描述词+属性词。例如:六级翻译中的“火药”,正确说法是gunpowder。四级有3%的超纲率,所以即使考前横扫单词大纲的同学,一篇文章会有四五个单词不认识,用圈圈(当然看个人喜好,方块也是可以的)画出来,后面有惊喜。会发现文章后的题目中,这个生词些许就成了定位词,这个时候在考场上千万要控制自己的情绪,不要高兴过头。对于时间紧任务重的同学,背单词的精力尽量放在动词和形容词上。
单词的派生词已经是老生常谈了,很多同学在单词复习的过程中不注重举一反三,不能从简单的核心词汇扩展开来,比如很多同学分不清楚success, succeed, successful的词性,如果再拓展到succeeding, successsion, successive, successor那就更不明白了,其实这些词汇只需要我们多查词典,在查词典的时候把前后的派生词简单地读一读就可以很快地记忆下来,如果无法完全记忆,起码有一个初步的印象,等放到具体的语境中结合上下文也可以猜出来。再比如,affect这个词,很多同学通过“口袋书”知道,它的意思就是“影响”,但是有多少同学可以分清楚affectionate, affected, affecting, affectingly, affectionate, affectionately, affectionateness, affective, affectively, affectivity, affectless, affectlessly, affectlessness, disaffect, disaffected, disaffection, unaffected, unaffectedly, unaffectionate这些词的区别呢?感兴趣的同学可以自己小测试一下!
(二)注重单词与单词之间的搭配(collocation)
单词的搭配collocation是同学们在单词学习中经常忽略的问题,按照笔者的积累,collocation的学习主要体现在以下四个方面:(1)名词之间的搭配:比如,人口普查的表达为polulation census而不是population investigation 或者population exploration,国歌为national anthem而非national song;(2)动词加宾语的搭配:最常见的错误就是“学习知识”这个词组了,正确的表达为acquire knowledge而非learn knowledge或者study knowledge,达成一致意见为reach consensus或者arrive at an agreement;(3)形容词修饰名词的搭配:比如无法满足的胃口insatiable appetite,无法克服的困难insurmountable difficulties;(4)副词修饰形容词的搭配:比如glowingly positive, profoundly grateful;(5)短语动词(phrasal verb)的搭配: shed light on, give rise to, elaborate on,something has quite properly attracted much popular attention等等。单词之间的搭配体现着英语语言的丰富性跟严谨性,如何学习地道的(idiomatic)的英语语言,词汇之间的搭配(collocation)的积累突显了其重要意义。
(三)注意熟词僻义的积累
“词本无义,义由境生”,对于单词的理解一定要放到具体的语境中来分析,不能脱离语境孤立地记忆。比如当我们读到So it is a bit confusing when vos Savant fields such queries from the average Joe (whose IQ is 100) as, What’s the difference between love and fondness? 这句话中的field 加了s 后面接名词,很显然它作为一个动词,不是我们一般的理解为“田野”、“土地”,而应该理解为 to answer difficult questions,即“处理”、“应付”的意思。又比如In a society that so persistently celebrates procreation, is it any wonder that admitting you regret having children is equivalent to admitting you support kitten-killing? 这句话中的词组celebrates procreation其实是一个比较难理解的,我们不可以简单地把celebrate理解为“庆祝”,虽然这是我们大家在学习英语单词中最经常遇到的意思,比如celebrate Christmas, celebrate Spring Festival等等,容易形成思维定势。事实上,celebrate在这里的意思是to praise someone or something,即“赞扬”、“歌颂”的意思,那么整句话开头的意思是“在一个不断歌颂生育重要性的社会中……”。四级考试中经常出现的熟词僻义现象,需要我们常时间的积累,在平时的阅读中多查词典,避免因为遇到“认识的陌生词”引起的理解障碍。
综上所述,英语单词学习的深度跟广度直接决定着大英四级考试的分数,其实,任何的考试都离不开对单词的考查,只不过形式跟侧重点有所不同而已,在单词的学习中,同学们一定要多查词典,注意观察、理解、解读词典中的例句,体会英语单词在表达思想上的准确性跟简洁性,这样才能避免单词“口袋书”跟“口袋书老师”对我们学习的负面影响,取得理想的成绩。
