一、问题的提出
身处21世纪，当代大学生已不再是困于“象牙塔”之内、“两耳不闻窗外事，一心只读圣贤书”的书呆子了。当代大学生已经逐渐把步入社会，参与社会实践，加强与社会的紧密联系，以培养自身的综合能力，提高自身整体素质作为大学阶段学习生活的最高目标。因此，随之而来的是，在校大学生自己创业或参与各种勤工助学活动的现象屡见不鲜。毋庸置疑，勤工助学对大学生各方面能力的培养具有重要作用，它有助于大学生综合素质的提高和人的全面发展。尤其面向21世纪的教育要求培养出各方面综合发展的人才。也就是说，21世纪的人才，不仅要掌握知识，更重要的要有完善的人格。要关心环境、关心社会、关心他人，具有对环境对社会的责任感。经济合作与发展组织1988年提出，未来的人都应掌握三张“教育通行证”，一张是学术的，一张是职业的，第三张通行证能证明一个人的事业心和开拓能力。因此，勤工助学适应了时代的要求。然而大学生在勤工助学过程中表现出社会责任感淡漠甚至缺失。例如勤工助学过程中表现出来的庸懒、推脱、违约、注重金钱、不关心他人和集体、自我中心等现象。尤其现代社会中科学技术和市场经济越来越发达，相应地对人的道德品质要求的也越来越高，要求每个公民都能对自己的行为负责，为人类的未来着想，并懂得如何为他人、为社会、为国家、为自己服务。以往的责任感教育常常无视受教育者的主体性，不重视培养受教育者躬行实践的能力，却希冀通过灌输道德规范的做法来促进学生包括社会责任感在内的道德品质的养成，结果往往事倍功半。
现代社会生活是一个完整的系统，它不仅要求学生的人性的健康发展，而且还需要他们具有群体意识和社会责任感，具有社会生活所需要的共同的生活观念和与人合作相处的能力，如环境问题、能源问题、核问题等，都要求人们具有群体意识甚至全球意识。
二、当代大学生社会责任感的现状及原因分析
不无公允地说，其实中国历来都重视对年轻一代进行社会责任感的教育，如“先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐”，“天下兴亡，匹夫有责”等耳熟能详的格言警句无不蕴涵着有识之士的社会责任感和道德使命感。然而，时至今日，现实与理想之间的差距越来越大，学生中自私、冷漠、懦弱等不良品性大量滋生；极端的后果是，近年来，学生中各种越轨行为日益严重乃至对同伴、亲友的生命漠然视之，连基本的出于人道的社会责任感都丧失殆尽……所有这一切决不是危言耸听!这不能不引起教育工作者的反思。

It is well known that university is greatly different from high school mainly e to that university will hold a large number of activities, which benefits college students a lot.
