從某種意義上說，寫英語日記又是最難的寫作，因為它包羅萬象，涉及到生活的各個方面，對詞彙的要求特別高。因此，在日常學習中，必須做一個「有心人」，准備一本筆記本，對一些英語的習慣表達法及時記錄下來，以便在以後記日記的時候可以使用。在開始記日記時，碰到一兩個英語詞彙不會寫，不妨用漢語先寫上，以後學會了英語表達，再補上去。千萬不要因為一兩個詞寫不出，就沒了記英語日記的興趣，以至放棄用英語記日記。只要你注意積累，一定會發覺自己英語日記中夾雜的漢語會越來越少，最後變為全部地道的英語日記。

2)英語日記的寫作格式

日記的第一行，要寫明年、月、日與星期，然後要寫明當天的氣候狀況，如果是游記，還要寫明地點。這一部分中天氣狀況比較難寫。下面是一些常用的描寫天氣的英語詞語：

實際上，省與不省I，只是作者的一種習慣，為了記日記的方便。

最後需要一提的是，英語日記習慣一年一本，因此日期不必寫年份，而只是在每年一本的日記本封面上或者在日記的第一頁和最後一頁加以註明即可。

英語日記最重要的就是要正確書寫日記的格式，尤其是在考試中，日記的格式相當重要。英語日記的格式與漢語日記的格式大致相同，在每篇日記的第一行寫上日期、星期和天氣，接下來寫內容。日期、星期和天氣的書寫要注意以下幾個方面：
1. 年、月、日都寫時，通常以月、日、年為順序，月份可以縮寫，日和年用逗號隔開。例如：December 18, 2003或者Dec. 18, 2003。

3. 關於正文的書寫。

信步走到圖書館看即將在今天結束的全國書籍。驚奇的是發現我們國家竟然出版了這么多種的書籍。我覺得富有多頁彩色插圖的兒童書籍印刷的相當精美。我買了一本打八折的《英美短篇小說》中文版。我要在這讀書的好季節里將它讀完

Spring Festival ,known as the Chinese New Year, is the most important holiday in China.From late January to early February,Chinese people are busy preparing for the New Year.They clean their houses ,have their hair cut,and buy new clothes .Jiaozi or mpling is most popular.To those who live far away from their home,this festival is also a framily reunion occasion.
And they often go back home to celebrate the festival with their family.The first day of the new year is the time when people visit their friends adn wish each other good luck in the new year.

春節，即中國人的新年，是中國最重要的節日。從一月末到二月初人們忙著為新年做准備。他們打掃房屋、理發和買新衣服。餃子是最受歡迎的。對那些遠離家鄉的人們，春節是一個合家團聚的時刻。他們經常回家和家人歡度春節。新年第一天人們訪友並互祝新年好運。
