錯，外國人不可能發不出「」這個音的，因為英文中就有類似的發音「by」。真正的原因我認為是漢字的發音其實並不是亘古不變的，其中「白」字在古代就不念「Bai」音，至於在古代念什麼音，我們可以在日語中找到答案。學過日語的朋友應該知道一個基本語言常識，日語的漢字讀音有的來自唐音，有的來自宋朝等。其實現在很多唐詩宋詞之所以讀上去不押韻，就是因為發音發生了改變。而我嘗試著用日語的發音就能夠把那些尾韻讀出來。所以我覺得「白」字在英語中的發音是受古漢語發音影響的。(日語中「白」念「haku」，在某些音後面，半濁化為「paku」，而「pa」和「po」屬於同一行的音，故推之)--讓人尋味的是，英國古代詩人艾略特也曾在他的一篇詩作中提到李白，他就是用「LiPaku」的。。。供參考
