會當凌絕頂，一覽眾山小 會當：應當。凌：登上。兩句寫一定要登上泰山的頂峰，周圍的其它山峰便都在腳下了。 「會當凌絕頂，一覽眾山小。」這是化用孔子的名言：「登泰山而小天下」。但用在這里卻有深刻的含義：它不止是詩人要攀登泰山極頂的誓言，也是詩人要攀登人生頂峰的誓言。詩人早年就「竊比稷與契」（《自京赴奉先縣詠懷五百字》），常以「致君堯舜上，再使風俗淳」（《奉贈韋左丞丈二十二韻》）

巍峨的泰山，到底如何雄偉？走出齊魯，依然可見那青青的峰頂。神奇自然匯聚了千種美景，山南山北分隔出清晨和黃昏。層層白雲，盪滌胸中溝壑；翩翩歸鳥，飛入賞景眼圈。定要登上泰山頂峰，俯瞰群山，豪情滿懷。
賞析
全詩以詩題中的「望」字統攝全篇，句句寫望岳，但通篇並無一個「望」字，而能給人以身臨其境之感，可見詩人的謀篇布局和藝術構思是精妙奇絕的。
這首詩寄託雖然深遠，但通篇只見登覽名山之興會，絲毫不見刻意比興之痕跡。若論氣骨崢嶸，體勢雄渾，更以後出之作難以企及。

泰山隨雲高，不如東海嶗。It is not as gorgeous as mountain Lao，though the mountain Tai is higher.
這個詩中有幾個地方要注意，會是一定要的意思，就是證明小杜當時沒登上去，只是在山底下喝多了吹吹牛，所以翻譯的時候用了虛擬語氣，意淫一下。
第二個是英語，就我個人的權威理解，一般對比的時候都是把雖然，可惜之類的放在後面，讓人聽到最後才明白老外搞什麼名堂，所以第三四句翻譯的時候顛倒了一下。
