要想寫好或掌握英語日記的寫法，必須了解英語日記的結構。英語日記由兩部分組成，即書端和正文，下面具體談談這兩部分的寫法。

一、書端（heading）

英語日記的書端，是專門記載寫日記的日期、星期和氣候的，在這一點上和漢語日記相同，但在排列上有所不同。英語日記的書端寫在正文上邊左邊（頂格）。

1.英語日記書端的日期有兩種寫法：

a.先寫月份，再寫日期，最後寫年份。這種寫法比較普遍。日期用基數詞或序數詞的縮寫形式，但後面須加逗號。

2.如果在英語日記的書端里要寫星期的話，可將其寫在日期的前面或後面。

二、正文（Body）

日記是每天生活的記載。生活的內容廣泛，但寫作時應有所選擇，最好是記下當天最有意義，或感受最深的東西，不能記流水帳。日記的寫法靈活，形式多樣。它常用敘述的方法，也可議論、抒情和描寫。

由於日記記載的事情通常已經發生過，謂語動詞一般用過去時態，當然根據實際情況，也可用其它的時態。

Happy week

快樂的一周
這一周,發生了許許多多的事.其中有兩件事我覺得我表現得尤其出色,這兩件事一件關於數學,不用說,另一件就關於語文了.
周二,我們進行了數學第二單元測查.這天早上我心裡就忐忑不安,牢牢記住了馮老師交給我們的四個字,「靜生智慧」.意思是靜下心來才能產生智慧.第二節課上課了,同學們陸陸續續的走進教室,拿出草稿本和大書.老師開始發卷子,發完卷子,我便認真的做起卷子來.我不斷的在草稿本上打草稿,雖然我做的比較慢,不過我每題都在認真的做.「叮叮叮,叮叮叮!」下課了,同學們一一交上了卷子……到了下午,我更是把心提到了嗓子眼,因為下午王老師就要報分了.王老師走進教室,開始讀分數表：「林依汶,100分!」我頓時驚呆了,幾乎在想：「哇!林依汶盡然考了100分!」王老師接著往下報：「施睿99分,曾一丁99分……」「我盡然考了99分,呀!」看來這幾天我進步還很大嘛!真是「功夫不負有心人」呀!
周四,馮老師又表揚了我,說是因為我的字寫得干凈、整潔.記得那天爸爸出去了,沒人在家,我的字真的寫得很好嗎?我不相信.可當馮老師翻看我作業本時,我才看見我的作業寫的既干凈又整潔,字也寫得比較好.等到下午翻開我的作業本時一看,呀!全做對了!下次一定更加認真做作業!雖然很開心,不過我並沒有變臉.因為馮老師曾經教過我們「不要變臉」,說直白了就是「勝不驕,敗不餒」.
這周我的收獲也很大.第一,就是考試細心才能得高分；第二,就是家長不在家也要認真做作業；最後第三,就是懂得了「勝不嬌,敗不餒」的道理.這一周收獲可真大呀!
