論點通常在文章的第一段提出。

4、層次要清楚
5、態度誠懇、友好，因為議論文重在說理，以理服人
議論文在寫作手法上以議論為主，但有時也要運用說明、敘述、描寫等手法。議論中的說明常為議論的開展創造條件，或是議論的補充;議論文中的敘述和描寫應是為論點提供依據的因此，敘述應該是概括的，描寫應該是簡要的。
6、論據要充分
欲證明自己的觀點必須有充分的證據。作者可以列舉事實、展示數據、提供事例、藉助常識或利用親身經歷。
議論文盡管有多種寫法，但中學生的英語作文都有提示，因此，論點、論據一般都是確定的，我們首先應准確找出論點、論據及其間的相互關系，也即是要找出要點;然後考慮如何組織材料，也即是論證的.方式，短文的寫法;還應考慮文章的時態、語態等。議論文常用一般現在時，但述說過去的事實時，可用過去時態;預測將來時，要用將來時態;也經常使用被動語態;有時假設一種虛擬情況時，還需要用上虛擬語氣。在考慮了短文的寫法、時態、語態等後，可根據行文的需要，使用恰當的連接詞，按適當的順序將寫好的句子組合成短文。

1、 歸納法
