Many people are fear of bears, but in fact they are shy of humans and they try to stay away from humans. Bears love to live in the wilderness. This is the reason of lack of our understanding about these nice beasts.

A bear can live for about 20 to 25 years. The male bears are larger than the female bears,The size of the male bears are twice bigger than the male bears. Bears have large bodies and powerful limbs.They have broad paws, long snouts, and round ears. A running bear can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h .

Bears mostly do not live in gruop. When they are cubs, they live with their mothers for two to three years.Bears mainly having meat , but they also eat plants, like grass roots, nuts, and berries. They can also go to a river to catch fish. Bears will commonly travel far for food.

During the winter season, bears go for sleeping. When they enter sound sleep, their body temperature falls down and their heart beating and breathing also slow down. Before going for winter sleep, bears eat a lot and get fat,then ring sleep time,they do not feel hungry. They sleep in a hole under rocks or in a big tree. During the spring time they wake up from their sleep.

Sea ice melting will also cause changes in their mating, and traveling patterns. The IUCN states, "If climatic trends continue polar bears may become extirpated from most of their range within 100 years." On May 14, 2008, the United States Department of the Interior listed the polar bear as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act.
