英文興趣小組活動執行步驟：

1.明確活動的目標：
活動定位在基本技能的學習與運用、整體素質的培養與提高上，要寓生活的動機和對象於其中，學生參加活動的興趣才會濃，積極性才會高，才更易於成為活動的主人，自覺接受新東西， 「自由、歡樂、實踐、發展」應為它的四大特點。

2.輔導員培訓工作：
興趣小組的開放性特點，對輔導員提出了高要求：觀念要新，素質要高，要重視學生學習興趣與自覺習慣的培養。注意激發學生的自信心，培養他們的想像力和創造力，要善於分析學生學習中的問題，對症下葯。善於對學生的學習方法提出建設性的建議，幫助他們提高自學能力。

3.學生報名工作：一方面要鼓勵自南參與，一方面要幫助學生根據自己的實際選擇小組類型，這樣活動開展起來才更有效，而不是純粹的娛樂。

4.制定活動計劃：在活動開展前，要指導參與者弄清先做什麼，後做什麼，要能在必要時組合成一定的小組，明確各自分擔的任務及相互關系，能提出完成任務的具體要求和防止出現差錯的注意事項，並能制訂出評價標准和方式。

建議開辟英語角，現場布置一些掛圖、輕音樂、實物，黑板上設計主題宣傳畫、簡筆漫畫來營造一種輕松、和諧、活潑的氛圍。話題一定要以恰當形式提出，形式多樣化，可看圖講話、看圖猜去向、聽詞講話、聽文段後評論，也可以人言亦言仿說、做游戲、講故事、競賽、排練短劇、演講、復述、繞口令、講笑話等。
3）培養閱讀能力
有計劃地組織他們從朗讀到默讀，從詞到文段，從同步材料到課外讀物，從淺易到深難循序漸進去讀，從而實現從指導下的閱讀到獨立閱讀；讀的活動可以跟其它行為結合起來，如：讀一則游戲，接著開展過程分析，最後表演一下；
4）提高筆頭能力
要求大家製作賀卡、互寫信件、介紹朋友、翻譯幽默故事、編劇、編報等；如果能跟動機結合起來那再妙不過，如：舉辦某個活動，讓大家去搞一張英文海報做個宣傳，發些英文請柬請好友；鼓勵大家養成寫日記的習慣。
