Today i took the bus to the park. Some people were waiting for the bus at the bus stop.When a young girl came,she spat a gum on the ground While she was waiting,she herself stepped on the gum.The gum stuck to one of her foot.When the bus came , she got on the bus. Then she discovered the gum stuck her foot all the time.

Today I began to learn 「Li Yang」 English. At first I was very afraid because my English is not very well. But after ten minutes, I was not afraid it, the lesson is not as hard as I think. Instead, it is so easy that I can remember twenty sentences in fifteen minutes. After it .My mother ask me some English questions, I can answer it quickly except two of them. Today I have to do much housework. First wash the clothes , then cook the meal、tidy the room。In the afternoon, I met a friend named dengyuming. We played computer game all the afternoon.
When all the things have been finished, I only want to go to sleep because it is ten now. But when I began to sleep, I remembered that the computer wasn』t close. So I could only stand up and close it. Then I was fall asleep. Now, I hope everything goes well!

I didn't get up until my brother came.Because last nighr I fell asleep too late.Last night,I saw the movie-"Bank of brother",so I fell asleep at12:40. My brother came here and played with me.We plaued the computer games from 9:30 to 11:30.We were very happy.After lunch,we watched TV.Aboule 3:00,we went to play basketball to playground.From 3:30 to 5:30.OH!I am very very tired now!I wanted to have a good rest.

Yesterday I had a cold , I just lay down and rest in bed . Today is morning , his mother take he to hospital to see a doctor . The doctor look over and gave some medicine . Then I have some medicine . At night I am better than yesterday . I can do my home work .

At last,I can keep a dog.It is from my uncle.It is white with black spots.I name it Angel.I walk it for about 15 minutes after supper everyday.I give it a bath every three days.I must keep it clean,or Mother says I can't keep it.

My First Time at the English Corner
It was a beautiful Sunday. Our teacher told us that there would be an English Corner near the gate of the People』s Park. I started off soon after breakfast.
It was already 9:20 when I got there. To my joy, the English Corner had just been on for a few minutes. Oh, what a big crowd! There were professors, teachers, cadres①, engineers, workers, students and PLA men. Some were reading the SSP (Shanghai Students』s Post), some were talking while others were listening attentively②. Everyone was eager to learn from others.
I joined them in their talk. At first, I was afraid that my English was so poor and limited that I couldn』t follow them or make myself understood. I was also afraid that someone might laugh at me. But a smiling face here and an encouraging nod there soon put me at ease③. I became bolder and came to speak English with them freely.
We talked about the situation at home and abroad, about our school life, our hobbies and our ideas. We exchanged experience in our studies with one another and shared views, all in English. I learned a lot of knowledge and made a lot of friends. Through practice, we all improved our English.
The day was unforgettable. Though today we speak only in simple English, we all believe that tomorrow we will make greater progress in English.

I make it a rule to read the newspaper every day. As a student, I have no time to watch news programs on TV. Besides, watching television takes up a lot of time. Consequently, reading the newspaper becomes the only way for me to learn about what's happening around the world.

There is an old Chinese saying: "A scholar need not leave his home to know what's going on in the world." While newspapers do not carry the latest, up-to-the minute world news, they give us a great deal of useful knowledge. Don't you see the heavy smokes from the big chimneys? Don't you smell the gas from the motors all around the streets? We've got much dirtier air! The iceburgs are melting from the warmer winter because of the air pollution!

Knowledge is one's acquaintance with facts, truth, principles, through ecation, investigation, and experience, while wisdom is the quality or state of being knowledgeable and sensible; it is one's accumulated knowledge to form the right judgment and make the right decision.
知識是一個人通過教育、調查和經歷，（表現出的）對現實、真理和原則的認識，而智慧是成為博學的和明智的一個特質或者狀態；它是一個人（通過）累積的知識而做出正確的判斷和決定。

It may follow that wisdom is the output end of the knowledge acquiring process.

Simply put, knowledge makes one wise.

How to keep healthy
如何保持健康

What is the most important thing in the world? I think it is health.You can take away our money, house, car, or even our clothes and we can survive. But if our health was taken away, we would surely die. That is why we always try to eat in a healthy way and exercise regularly.
什麼是世界上最重要的事情？我想，答案應該是健康。我們可以在沒有錢、房子、車子，甚至衣服的情況下，活著。但是如果我們的健康被帶走了，我們肯定就活不下去了。這就是為什麼我們總是努力以一種健康的方式吃東西和規律地運動。

In order to eat healthily, I usually avoid eating food high in fat, like french fries or cookies. I also eat little meat. I eat a lot of vegetables and fresh fruit which are full of vitamins. Taking exercise every day helps us build a strong body. Regular exercise is an important part of keeping me healthy.
為了能吃得健康，我常常避免吃高脂肪的食物，比如炸薯條或甜點。我也很少吃肉。我會吃很多的蔬菜和富含維他命的新鮮水果。每天做運動有助於我們擁有強健的身體。有規律的運動是我們保持身體健康的一個重要部分。

What＇s more, I think friends are an important part of one's health. Many studies show that people with a wide range of social contacts get sick less than those who don't. Today the crime rate in cities of our country is rising. Many citizens often complain about the thefts and robberies that have taken palce in the areas they live in and appeal to the governments at all levels to take effective measures to rece the crime rate.
如今犯罪發生率在我國眾多城市呈現出上升趨勢。許多公民常常抱怨在他們生活的地方，偷竊和搶劫常發生。他們希望各級政府能採取有效措施來減少犯罪發生率。

Faced with criminals, some people are so frightened that they shamelessly give up the fight and other people turn a blind eye to them. However, some people are brave enough, to risk their lives to fight the criminals.Their fearless actions prevented the criminals from doing evils, saved the victims, and protected the public properties.
面對罪犯，好些人因為過於害怕而無恥地放棄了斗爭，和其他人一樣，睜一隻眼閉一隻眼。可是，還是有些人有足夠的勇氣與罪犯斗爭。他們無懼罪犯的行動阻止了犯罪分子做邪惡的事情，拯救了受害者並保護了公共財產。

To rece the crime rate, we all the people should receive a law ecation. Criminals must be severely punished. Meanwhile we should set up a foundation to reward those who fight criminals. It is also important to call on people to learn from those heroes and encourage more people to stand up to crime.
為了降低犯罪率，我們所有人都應該接受法制教育。罪犯必須受到嚴懲。同時，我們應該建立一個基金來獎勵勇於與犯罪分子斗爭的人。號召人們向英雄學習並鼓勵更多的人抵抗犯罪也是一件非常重要的事情。

My Pet Cat
寵物貓

I have a very beautiful cat. Its colour is white and yellow. Its name is Haahua. I think it is my favourite cat.
我有一隻非常漂亮的貓貓。它的顏色是黃白相間的。它叫Haahua。我覺得它是我最愛的一隻貓貓。

She likes playing with the bell. She loves catching mice. Though it is a kind of animals, I treat it as my friend. Sometimes I give her some fish or pork to eat. She looks like a fool when she meows. Wherever I am walking, she follows me.

An Accident
意外

One sunny afternoon, when I was merrily riding home, I heard "Help! Help!".

一個晴朗的午後，當我高興地騎車回家時，我聽到（有人喊）「救命！救命！」。

I rode to the riverside and found a boy of about five in the river struggling. I jumped into the water, swam to the boy and dragged him to the river bank. The boy said he was trying to catch a fish near the river bank and carelessly fell into the water. I asked him where his home was and sent him home.

我（趕緊）騎到河邊，發現一個大約5歲的男孩在河裡掙扎。我（馬上）跳進水裡，游向男孩，並把他拖到岸邊。男孩說他（剛剛）是在河邊試著抓魚，（後來），一不小心就掉進水裡了。我要到了他家地址，並送他回家。

"Thank you very much!" The boy's parents said, when I left his home. Though I got home late that afternoon, I was very happy.

一當我要離開他們家的時候，那個男孩的父母說：「非常謝謝你！」盡管在那個下午，我回家晚了，但我還是很開心的。

Health or Wealth?
健康還是財富？

Which is more important, health or wealth? When given this question, different people have varied answers. Some insist that health plays a more important role in our life, while others see more advantages arising from wealth.

健康和財富，哪個更重要？當這個問題被提出來的時候，不同的人有不同的答案。有些人堅持認為，在我們生活中，健康扮演者更為重要的角色，然而其他人認為健康能帶給我們更多利益。

The first group of people quote the old saying "Health is above wealth" to prove their idea. They argue that, on the one hand, a strong person can do almost anything as long as he/she tries hard. On the other hand, however, rich people will not be able to enjoy the wealth if their days are numbered.

支持健康更重要的人引用了一句俗語「健康就是財富」來證明他們的觀點（是正確的）。他們認為，在某一方面來說，強壯的人，只要他們肯努力，那他們幾乎能做任何事情。可是，從另一方面來說，如果有錢人活著的日子屈指可數的話，那他們將沒法享受健康。

In contrast, the advocate s of wealth have such arguments as follows. For one thing, wealthy people will be able to buy more healthful foods. For another, they can enjoy better facilities to improve their health. Take my neighbor, Lao Wang, as an example. He had a heart attack and is in hospital. However, he cannot afford the expensive operation , which costs as much as 100,000 yuan. Therefore, he has to lie in bed hopelessly . If he were a rich man, his life could be saved.

相反地，支持財富更為重要的人就有以下的爭論。首先，有錢的人能買到更有益健康的食物。其次，他們可以享受能提高健康的設備。舉個例子來說，我的鄰居老王，他有嚴重的心臟病，並且正在住院（接受治療）。可是，他沒辦法負擔高達100，000的手術治療費.因此，他只能毫無希望地躺在病床上。如果他是一個有錢人，那他就能得到治療。

As far as I am concerned, both health and wealth are important to our life. We should try to strike a balance between them and gain wealth with a healthy body.

我認為，健康和財富對我們生活都很重要。我們應該努力試著在這兩者之間做到平衡，並將財富與健康的身體相伴。

Yesterday, we had a discussion . The topic is"What is my dream?"Everyone has his dream. Some want to be teachers,others want to be scientists. My dream is to become a doctor.

My friends asked me why. I told them my story. When I was a small boy, I was very weak. Once I was terribly ill. I had a high fever. My parents sent me to the hospital but the doctors could do nothing for me. Then my parents heard there was a very good doctor in another town. They took me there at once. I was saved.

我的朋友問我為什麼。我跟他們說了個故事。當我還是一個小男孩的時候，我的身體非常虛弱。有次，我生了一場很嚴重的病。我發著高燒。我的父母把我送到醫院，但醫生們不能為我做什麼。那時，我的父母聽聞在其他鎮上，有位名醫。他們馬上把我帶到那兒。（然後）我得救了。

A good doctor can save people's lives. From then on I decided to become a doctor. I know it is not easy to be a doctor.But I am determine d to study hard. I am sure my dream will come true.

Computer games is a hot topic nowadays. Some people hold that it is bad. And others hold that it is good. In my view, whether good or bad is determined by the players.

If one plays computer game properly in his spare time, computer games can be an excellent source of joy. For example, something impossible in your real life can be realized in the computer games. You can pilot a space craft and travel in the universe. Every coin has two sides. If one plays computer game excessivly, it may affects his eyesight and study.

The computer games itself is only a tool like knife. If we use it properly, it can pare apples. But if we use it to attack others，it immediatly becomes an lethal weapon.
電腦游戲是一種像刀一樣的工具。如果我們能恰當地使用小刀，那它能削去蘋果皮。但如果我們用它攻擊其他人的話，那它馬上就會成為致命的武器。
