在鞭炮聲中，我們又跨入了新的一年，這也讓我五味俱全地感受著又年長了一歲的心有蹉跎和夢想的期待，但能愈久彌香的唯有那一抹書籍的墨香。寒假在忙碌之餘，我讀了一些閑書，其中也不乏問鼎之作，如《山楂樹之戀（i、ii）》《狼王夢》等。我也利用寒假涉獵了初中的英語教材，當初次捧起那厚厚的八本書時，不無感嘆教材的與時俱進，以及教材內容的厚實、實踐與時尚。
我細細研讀著這套教材。從整體上看，說初一的教材內容與小學的內容還是比較銜接的，並且知識跨度不大，初一上冊教材的內容基本都是小學涉及到的，只是更強調了語法的功能，但是從初三的教材開始就明顯地上升了一個層次，各種信息量很大的語篇層出不窮。
書本的第一部分收集了大量的教學所需的教學用語、教學游戲和教學案例，提供了很好的教學素材。例如此書介紹的各類英語兒歌，簡單、易學、有趣，我在平時的教學中做了嘗試，發現運用歌曲學習英語是個很有效的教學方法。經常教學生聽、唱英文歌曲不但提高了學生的英語聽力水平，而且培養了學生正確的語音、語感和語調，提高了口語水平。每當上課鈴響後，唱上一首平時教過的英文歌曲，就可以調動學生的學習情緒，集中學生注意力，形成輕松愉悅的學習氛圍，對提高整堂課的教學效果起到了意想不到的作用。
書本的第二部分收集了常用句型、常用片語、報刊英語關鍵詞等，為我們教師提高自身的專業水平和綜合素質搭建了一個良好的平台。作為一名英語教師除了掌握良好的教學設計技能外更應具備扎實的英語專業知識。只有當教師達到一定的專業水平，才能全面地掌握教材，才能在課堂中自由馳騁，才能幫助學生更好地消化吸收。此書正是從這幾個方面來幫助教師學習。這一點在我們的小學英語教材中也是如此，當在教授四年級上unit5 what would you like?的食物後，運用了另一模塊的西方文化背景知識里介紹的美國的用餐習慣和禮儀，擴大了學生接觸異國文化的范圍，幫助學生拓展視野，使他們提高了對中外文化的敏感性和鑒別能力。平時，非常注重引導學生通過關注身邊及與日常生活密切相關的異國文化知識來激發學生對英語學習的興趣，如：「thank you」一詞，在英美國家，幾乎用於一切場合、所有人之間，即使是父母與子女、兄弟姐妹之間也不例外。送上一瓶飲料，准備一餐飯，對方都會說一聲「thank you」。在公共場合，不管別人幫你什麼忙，都會道一聲「thank you」，而在中國，一般來說，家庭成員之間很少用「謝謝」，還有「hot dog」的由來「hamburger」的由來等。
總之，在學英語熱潮日益高漲的今天，我們要緊跟課改的步伐，努力提高教學技能和自身專業素質，把英語教學推向又一個新的高峰。
提高英語質量的關鍵在於提高的教學水準與能力。「怎樣教好英語」無論對學生，都是孜孜以求、不斷探索的大問題，但對教材的把握必定是中流砥柱。只希望通過對英語教材的通讀和理解，一方面回顧梳理自己的英語專業能力，另一方面能對教材的把握更有裨益。

《格列佛游記》讀後感
當我定睛一看時才知道這是英國的喬納森.斯威夫特寫的《格列佛游記》，不知怎麼得我的手慢慢拿起了 它，翻開了第一頁，看著看著就入了迷，好奇心讓我一口氣讀完了它。
「真是太精彩了！」我情不自禁地說。到了家，我就開始津津有味地向爸爸講起了這書里的精彩故事：
格列佛一生經歷了很多的奇怪的事情，並且也到很多國家游覽了一番，第一次他來到的是小人國。1699年，格列佛作為一名隨船醫生和威廉船長一起到南太平洋去航行。沒想到的事情發生了：格列佛和船長的船被大風颳倒，遭遇了襲擊，多虧格列佛被沖到了淺灘才脫離了危險，可當他醒來時，自己卻動彈不得，原來他的手腳已經被左右分開，牢牢地綁在木樁上了；他的頭發也被釘住，渾身上下被很多細繩子捆綁著，只能仰望天空。
不一會兒，他的耳邊響起了一陣嘈雜聲，他忽然感到有許多個小東西在他腳下爬行，正朝他胸脯上走來，他盡量往下看，終於看到一個不到6英寸高的小人，它們手裡拿著箭，背上背著弓，在它的身後，還有許多的小人在往上爬，格列佛不禁大叫一聲，沒想到那些小人一下都掉了下來，有的居然摔斷了腿。正在這時，小人國的國王來了，隨後問清楚格列佛的由來之後，覺得他不是壞人，於是就熱情的款待了他一番：麵包有子彈大小、烤肉也只有那麼大、一桶酒呢？只有一個手指的大小……無論什麼都那麼的小。
過了一陣子，格列佛要回自己的國家了，臨走時還幫小人國打了一場勝仗呢！這就是格列佛經歷的第一件奇怪的事情。

本來想給三星的，但因為一直很喜歡給了四星。
這本書從前一直是我很喜歡的一本書，但這次重讀的時候卻有了不一樣的理解。
Jane和Rochester的感情，在我看來類似源氏和紫夫人的感情。兩位少女都是在未經人事的時候來到男主人公的身邊，在能追求愛情之前就被打上了屬於他們的烙印，使得她們不可能再離開自己的主人。她們追求自己的愛情的可能性被提前抹殺了，而成為專屬於這個男人的物品。
簡愛真正第一次接觸男性就是Mr Rochester，是他給她打開了世界的大門，按照Mr Rochester的說法他欣賞這個小姑娘，就把她的思想按照他喜歡的方式來培養；紫夫人也是在還是個小姑娘的時候就被源氏接來當作未來夫人培養。而且她們都是失去親人之後接觸到這兩個男性的，本能讓她們緊緊抓住眼前的人。
後來Jane也只接觸過自己的表兄這一個男性，紫夫人也是只被源氏和葵夫人的兒子看到過，兩個人都像被人為地和其他男性隔開一般。因為她們也不可能再屬於別人，只能作為被葬在抽屜里的珍寶而存在。
這兩段關系都可以概括為：他在她一無所知的時候就給她打上了自己的烙印，她不可能再愛別人，不可能再和別人交心；她只能屬於他了，沒有他，她什麼也不是。沒來得及發展心智就被在心智的種子里打下了烙印，所以只能攀附著給她們烙印的人生長，長成他們喜愛的樣子，需要的樣子。
Rivers則是另一個極端：為了事業犧牲愛情可以理解，挑選適合自己的妻子沒有感情地結婚讓人難以認可。而且Jane住在沼澤居的這段經歷我不覺得考驗了她對羅切斯特的感情，Rivers的求婚根本就沒有誘惑，他對她也沒有感情。Jane也完全被Rochester拴起來，根本沒有被誘惑的可能啊。
一個只有愛，為了愛無所不用其極；一個沒有愛，不承認愛的合理，把婚姻當做尋找自己副手的過程。
這是美好的愛情，但不是獨立的、自由的愛情。
