考綱變化
2008年普通高等學校招生全國統一升喚英語考試大綱與去年的大綱相比有如下變化：1.在閱讀理解考點類型方面，大綱的第6點表述為：理解作者的意圖、觀點和態度，與去年大綱相比增加了「觀點」一詞。2.在寫作要求方面，07年大綱表述為：寫作要求考生根據提示進行書面表達，考生應能：(1)准確使用語法和詞彙；(2)使用一定的句型、詞彙，清楚、連貫地表達自己的意思；08年大綱則去掉了「要求考生根據提示進行書面表達」一句。由這兩處變化可以看出新大綱對學生的閱讀能力提出了更高要求；寫作可能會在提示上有變化，或許更傾向於開放作文，讓學生有更大的自由發揮空間。
備考建議
1.聽力：在進行聽力訓練時，要特別加強前5個小題的聽力技能訓練；每天至少要堅持15分鍾左右的聽力訓練；除做聽力題之外，也可以聽教材錄音，如可選聽新概念第二、三冊的部分篇目等。
2.詞彙：依據課本和考綱對要求掌握的常用詞彙，主要是：名詞、動詞、動詞短語、形容詞、副詞、介詞短語進行有針對性地復習訓練。學生應人手一份考綱詞彙，天天查閱，並注意結合語篇材料把握詞彙運用的准確性、多樣性與得體性。教師可以挑出重點詞彙和詞吵悉凱組對學生進行訓練。還要關注新增加的240個詞彙。
3.語法：對主要語法項目，如：動詞的時態和語態、連系動詞、情態動詞、非謂語動詞、三大從句、固定句型結構以及倒裝應系統復習，可以將這些語法簡明扼要地進行歸納，列出重點、難點以及易錯點並將它們編成練習便於學生理解和掌握, 最後結合完成句子對學生進行訓練。也可以把近幾年高考單選題中涉及語法的題改編成完成句子讓學生訓練。
4.完型填空和閱讀理解：應陸圓每天都有一定量的完型填空和閱讀理解的訓練。選擇訓練題時，要注意材料題材和體裁的多樣性以及材料語言的地道性；還要注意訓練題對閱讀理解考查點的覆蓋情況。學生易在主旨要義題、根據上下文推斷生詞詞義題上出錯，因此要重點訓練。要注意理解文章的基本結構以及作者的意圖、觀點和態度。
5.書面表達：對不同文體的寫作方法技巧，要進行講解和操練，如各類書信，報道，圖表作文等應用文體。
