一、英語專業四級考試口試簡介及評分方法。根據大綱要求，口試內容將分解為三項：
（1） 復述故事（聽兩遍故事後復述3分種）；
（2） 即席講話（根據所給的題目准備3分鍾後，作即席講話3分鍾）；
（3） 對話（根據規定的角色各自准備3分鍾後，對話4分鍾）。
評分項目為五項：復述、即席講話、語音語調及語法。其中，前三項評分針對三項任務的完成情況，後兩項是對考生在完成前三項任務中的語音語調及語法的總體評價。具體評分過程如下：
（1）評分教師首先給三項任務依次打分，但每項任務的評分重點不同。復述部分強調故事的完整性與條理性；即席講話強調內容切題、豐富、條理清楚，表達流暢；交談部分強調討論充分、遵循交際原則。
（2）評分教師就考生在三項任務中的語音語調與語法進行總體的評價，打綜合分。分數採用百分制，每五分為一檔。
（3）將五項分數相加，得到總分。
二、通過率現狀：（以07、08年為例）
2008年全國共20200多學生參加了英語專業四級口語考試，通過率為57.9%。
