1.不會表達，須另闢蹊徑
大學英語四級作文給分是以要點和語言准確度而定，所以不要太過追求文采，適當的文采會給作文加分，但是若遇到不會表達的情況時，還是以寫簡單句為宜，不會加分，但最起碼不會因句子錯誤而被扣分。以下幾點可以幫大家化難為易，化繁為簡。
(1) 迂迴而行
當某一個詞義不會用英語表達時，可以想一個與該詞義相似的幾種詞義，擴展思路，然後找出一個與其詞義相近的代替。這樣可有異曲同工之妙。
(2) 小詞大用
漢語中有些語意看來很復雜很文雅，但在英語中可用一些常用詞表達。下面這些詞可能在你的書面表達中很有用：take, have, get, make, come, go, do, see, show, happy, nice, kind, help 等。雖是小詞，但用途很廣泛。
(3) 借花獻佛
有時書面表達中需要的單詞或片語或許在試卷中的其他地方出現。因為剛剛做過題，記憶猶新，那麼就可信手拈來，為我所用。
2. 錦上添花，須量力而行
如果你還有時間和精力，想把書面表達寫得更好，那麼，請注意以下幾點：
(1) 句型要多樣化，不要I(We)……到底，使人覺得乏味。
(2) 適當使用一些並列句或主從復合句，但是一定要有把握，不要出錯。
(3) 進一步描繪人或事物時，適當使用定語從句。
(4) 適當使用分詞或分詞短語，烘托謂語動詞，這樣還會使句型多樣化。
(5) 偶爾使用一下倒裝句，增加新鮮感。
(6) 適當調換一下狀語在句子中的位置，使句子不雷同。
(7) 上下句子緊接時，其中完全相同的成分可以省略，以節省篇幅。
3.卷面須整潔，書寫須工整
字跡要清晰，讓閱卷人看得清楚，不可字跡潦草，難以辨認，要保持卷面的整潔。因為是有卷面分的，卷面不整潔，給閱卷老師留下不好的印象，文章再好，也會被酌情扣除1—2分。
4. 寫完之後，勿忘檢查
由於考試時間緊、內容多，同學們出錯在所難免。因此，改錯這一環節必不可少。因此，大家花幾分鍾時間用來檢查錯誤顯得尤為重要。檢查錯誤應從以下幾個方面入手：
(1) 格式是否有錯。
(2) 拼寫有無錯誤。
(3) 語言是否得體。

To begin with, most students will become more hardworking and efficient in order to finish the learning tasks satisfactorily. Moreover, with two degrees at hand after graation, they will stand a better chance in the job market full of fierce competition. In the third place, as for today's university students, tuition and fees are becoming more and more expensive. If they can make achievements in study at school and find a satisfactory job afterwards, it will not be a big problem.
Weighing the pros and cons of such a new trend, we can naturally arrive at the conclusion that it is beneficial and rewarding. This system not only compels students to work hard, but also prepares them for the coming competition.

Recently it seems that among the students who choose to study abroad, there are more and more-teenagers who study in high schools or even elementary schools. Many people, especially the parents, think it will certainly do good to their chidren because the independent life will make them learn confidence and perseverance. Moreover, the quality of overseas ecation is often higher, thus the child stands a better chance of entering a better university and getting a better job in the future.
After careful consideration, I have to say the above view is more than biased. On the one hand, early independent life is not necessarily good, if the child cannot receive proper guidance and tender care from both teachers and parents. On the other hand, the ecational quality is also a question—too many foreign schools aim at earning money. When the children come back, who can guarantee that they can adapt to the fierce competition here?
We can see clearly that although teenagers' studying abroad may bring favorable results, there are still a lot to worry about. It seems necessary for young students to make a careful investigation before going abroad.

The classic tale of the tortoise and the hare reminds us that different people take life at different speeds and that one way is not necessarily superior to another. It's important to remember that we are not actually in a race to get somewhere ahead of someone else, and it is difficult to judge by appearances whether one person has made more progress than another. Whether you count yourself among the fast movers or as one of the slower folks, we can all benefit from respecting the pace that those around us choose for themselves. This way, we can keep our eyes on our own journey, knowing that we will all end up together in the end.
