大學英語四、六級考試是一種為教學服務的標准化考試。因此，考試改革的方向是在保持考試的科學性、客觀性和公正性的同時，使考試最大限度地對大學英語教學產生正面的導向作用，即通過四、六級考試的改革，引導師生正確處理教學與考試的關系，更合理地使用四、六級考試，使考試更好地為教學服務。
大學英語四、六級考試改革的目標是更准確地測量我國在校大學生的英語綜合應用能力，尤其是英語聽說能力，以體現社會改革開放對我國大學生英語綜合應用能力的要求。由於大學英語四、六級考試是一個超大規模的標准化考試，因此考試的改革需前瞻性與可行性相結合，分步實施。
四、六級考試將採取的重要舉措之一是改革計分體制和成績報導方式。自05年6月考試（試點）起，四、六級考試成績將採用滿分為710分的計分體制，不設立及格線；成績報導方式由考試合格證書改為成績報告單。
考後向每位考生發放成績報告單，報導內容包括：總分、單項分等。為使學校理解考試分數的含義並根據各校的實際情況合理使用考試測量的結果，四、六級考試委員會將向學校提供四、六級考試分數的解釋。

2017年端午節英文小作文
Duanwu Festival (端午節, Duānwū Jié) is a traditional Chinese festival held on
the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as
the Double Fifth.[citation(引用;引證) needed] It has since been celebrated, in
various ways, in other parts of East Asia as well. In the West, it's commonly
known as Dragon Boat Festival.
The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear, but one traditional view holds
that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan (c. 340 BC-278 BC) of
the Warring States Period. He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river
because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government. The local
people, knowing him to be a good man, decided to throw food into the river to
feed the fish so they would not eat Qu's body. They also sat on long, narrow
paddle boats called dragon boats, and tried to scare the fish away by the
thundering sound of drums aboard the boat and the fierce looking carved dragon
head on the boat's prow(船頭).
In the early years of the Chinese Republic, Duan Wu was also celebrated as
"Poets' Day," e to Qu Yuan's status as China's first poet of personal
renown(名聲名望).
Today, people eat bamboo-wrapped steamed glutinous(粘的) rice mplings
called zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fish) and race dragon
boats in memory of Qu's dramatic death.
