學英語到底有沒有訣竅?或者說怎樣才能很輕松的學英語?

我一直認為,培養自己的興趣是學習英語最好的方法。目前,在網上,有很多我感興趣的文章都是用英文寫的。多我來說,我一直對股票,投資,以及世界經濟局勢十分感興趣。所以,我就在網上經常游覽這些方面的英文文章。後來,我才發現,比起西班牙語,法語,德語,和其它歐洲語言來說,英語應該是算最容易的。

我一直覺得,要想掌握一種語言,像一些在缺乏必要的語言環境的條件的大學生,還是有捷徑可走的。大量的閱讀和擴大詞彙以及做全真試題,然後通過四六級考試,接著利用在准備這些考試過程中培養出來的語感及詞彙過渡到口語和聽力的學習,是一個順理成章的事,但這些都和Diligence分不開。而大家的偶爾一句「我要好好學英語了」,也決不能只是一句漂亮的話,一定要有行動並持之以恆。

我高中英語一般,但是通過大學三年的積累,也自認為學到了很多,並有了很大的進步,所以,只有日積月累,通過量變,才有可能實現質的飛躍。大一的時候學英語還是很保守的,所以剛聽到李陽這種英語教學者也覺得非常新鮮,所以寢室里每人都買了他的其中一本書,我記得我買的那本是「愛情英語」,因為它裡面說學英語是枯燥的,而愛情是浪漫的,所以把英語與愛情結合在一起是最好不過了。我還記得我背下了「大話西遊」里的那段經典的對白,那是我大學里學習口語的開端。而外語系公共教學普遍的背文章期末加分制,也促使我背了好些文章,這些都為我以後四六級考試以及在和人家對話練口語時提供了很好的素材。

說實話我四六級考試至少在作文這塊從來沒有刻意去准備過,只是圖表分析作文我看過一點格式,其他的我都是用我背誦的文章加改寫完成的,背誦這個方法太有好處了,幾乎涉及英語學習的每個方面。但是我背誦不是那種迷迷糊糊的背,而是背的很熟練的,能夠脫口而出的,這是李陽老師的書上教的。在英語學習的道路上,有時你會感覺自己進步很慢。曾經記得在剛准備四級考試時,每天做閱讀,卻發現還是錯那麼多。明明自己閱讀的感覺好起來了,為什麼還錯那麼多呢?後來出現自己還只是處在一種比較低的階段。因為那時我由於語感還不好,所以無意識的就陷入那種想去把握句子結構的行為,卻忽略了文章到底在描繪什麼內容,所以一篇文章下來,雖然覺得自己把握復雜句子的能力加強了,卻做不對考題。在認識到這個問題後,我就不會那麼在意做錯還是做對了,反正總有一天我會做對的。

我有個蠻怪的方法,就是喜歡在平時做試卷時把所有答案都寫好了,我指的是單選題。因為我覺得英語這東西,懂就是懂,不懂就是不懂,那些不懂的東西只能拿來記,而不是刻意去理解,有些人一定要問我這道題為什麼選這個答案,我實在說不出,反正我自己知道了,因為我以前碰到過,有這種感覺。那些因單詞問題而解決不了的題目就更是這樣,我做錯這種題目的時候從來不會有什麼挫折感,反而會在心裡想,這種題目要是我認識這個單詞早就做出來了。所以就刻意記一下這個意思,記住了就完事,沒記住也沒關系,反正我從來就是有重復做題的習慣的,一套試卷我可以做18遍而不會覺得煩,因為每次做我的感覺就會好一點,語感也會強一點,句子結構的把握也會再好一點,而且更重要的是,自信心也高一點。我是那種什麼類型的題目都會拿來當作培養語感材料的人。比如,我以前在開始做一份試卷前,有時會花20分鍾在一道單選題上。

因為我在培養感覺,通常我會挑一題句子結構比較復雜的,長一點的句子,在心裡讀上20分鍾,直到自己覺得進入狀態了,能發揮出自己實力了,才會一口氣做完整張試卷。這才是我真正想要的答案。對完答案後從來不會有什麼傷心的感覺的。閱讀也是一樣,我不理解我會一直看下去,曾經我一遍閱讀看了一個早上,完全是我自己的經歷。可考試的時候卻也絲毫沒有把這種慢熱的習慣帶到考場,因為考前對閱讀的感覺自己心裡完全有數的,感覺好就是好,不好就是不好,不好的話我當天早上還要死命看上一遍文章。

總之這些細節的經驗很多,說也說不完。學好英語,興趣非常重要,大家也都明白。正如愛因斯坦所說「興趣是最好的老師」。學習英語的興趣大大激發了我的求知慾。有人說,英語水平高是將來找到理想的工作甚至出國的資本。這固然不錯,但除此之外,我更覺得,英語是一扇窗口,他向我們展示的是一片廣闊的天地,一派新奇的景象。當我能夠用英語同老外及口語好的同學交流,從那麼多英語網站上了解國外的社會、歷史、科學和文化,並取得第一手資料時,我才真正的領悟了掌握一種語言的妙處。

前面我說了自己的一些學習方法,但我相信:只要仔細體會,逐漸摸索,人人都可以創造出一套有特色並且行之有效的學習方法。在聽、說、讀、寫四個方面,我從「讀」中受益無窮。二十一世紀報我也堅持買了看,直到我有了電腦可以看電子版以後。通過有意識的大量閱讀、一方面擴大了詞彙量,另一方面培養了語感。而這兩方面我認為是掌握一種語言的兩大支柱。

而語言就是這樣,是相互促進的,語感好,在練習聽力及口語時都會感覺到你以前在閱讀中學到的有多重要。讀的東西多了,詞彙量足夠大,語感足夠強,其他的技能,只要多加練習,這三方面的能力也就自然而然的提高了。在聽方面,是我的一塊弱項,總覺得和閱讀能力不相符合,所以只能靠最實用的逐句聽寫法了,再結合聽廣播,這樣精聽和泛聽結合,進步也很快。到了大三,能說一口流利的英語,成為很多人的願望。但很多人卻羞於開口,而口語卻偏偏是要以丟臉為代價的。正如新東方老師所說的,只有我們平時臉丟光了,到了最後與人交談或參加各種口語考試時才沒臉可丟,這確實有道理。平時適當模仿地道英美音的發音,並堅持開口說,藉助各種媒體工具,總會有所成。有了那麼點自信後,就可以開始找各種人說了,決對不能怕丟臉。

但是對於口語學習我還是想說,單純的背誦或者單純的練習各種對話都是不夠的,而要兩者結合起來。當初我雖然背了很多文章,但卻發現我在和外教對話過程中非常吃力,就是覺得自己沒用,為什麼背了那麼多文章口語還是這么差。很偶然的一次機會我到我一個同學的寢室里,卻發現有個我們系的竹材工藝專業的同學在網上英語聊天室說英語。雖然我那時覺得他口音不好,但是卻發現了練口語時交流的重要性,只有通過交流,才能把口語學好,也只有在交流中,才能鞏固以前背誦過的所有文章。大家不用擔心自己背的用不上,事實上你早上背的東西下午就可能用上了,前提是你在背完後有那個交流的過程。可能很多人說口語找不到partner,怎麼交流。是的,這完全是現實,但是我的方法是和自己交流,這是最大程度的利用自己,而且自己和自己當然水平完全一樣啊,我就把我自己的英文名JAMES當成另外一個人,然後設想一個TOPIC和自己交流。起步階段什麼都可以說,關鍵是練口語的感覺,漸漸地就可以讓自己的對話有些邏輯和條理性。還有,一個人在說話時,可以說得很誇張,這樣對自己以後說話自然不自然很有好處,因為剛開始學的時候總是覺得非常 UNCOMFORTABLE,那是受到中文發音的影響,而一個人在教室try to speak it in another way時,我指的是誇張的表達自己,就會克服這個困難。最後還是想說一句勤奮比任何技巧方法都重要,學英語貴在堅持。
