Each of the contestants has 3 minutes to present a prepared speech and 2 minutes to answer questions raised by the judges.

During the prepared speech, a staff member will raise a yellow board as a signal that there is half a minute left. Then, at the end of 3minutes, a red board will be raised to let the speaker know that the time has run out. So, please raise the red board. Thank you!

「教材的地位和作用」說得恰當與否，直接反映說課者對教材的理解程度，並影響到教學目標的制訂。對教材理解越深刻，說課內容將越充實、全面，反之就只能是蜻蜓點水、觸及皮毛。且看一例：

『拾』 第一節英語課開場白
雖然我還是個學生（英語系），但我想你我也沒差幾歲，說些建議可以吧，我可以說說我們學生想聽得。
不知道您是什麼性格，但第一節課一定得讓學生認為您特有性格……
您可以先說一些很NB的句子，比如To be,or not to be,that is a question.這句可以告訴學生不管高一成績怎麼樣，只要用心，今後都沒問題，但選擇權在自己。
或者說些有意思的， 「 Something is out of our control, so we have to command ourselves.」 said Linghu Chong.英文版笑傲江湖……告訴學生努力過成績卻沒提高也不要灰心之類的，您自己拿捏。
鼓勵學生的話，Everyone has his inherent ability， which is easily concealed by habbits, blurred by time, and eroded by laziness.這句還可以拿來定從考試哈~~
還可以告訴學生，英語只是一門語言，難道人連話都不會說？每人無法達到極致，但達到「還不錯」的分數是誰都可以的。
如果您不是那種很有氣勢的老師，也不是班主任，實在不行就直接跟他們說,我今天有些緊張,第一次接班.不一定用英語說,有點親和力比較好或許他們會喜歡你呢.
另外，我的高中英語老師第一節課，一句開場白沒有。上來就講句子結構，動詞是句子心臟，他很猛……
數學老師是個科任老師，第一節課剛進班就爆了一句「這組不齊」呵呵，之後又說了一些身體與學習的關系，說了一節課，快下課時讓我們總結她那節課說了幾方面內容，
關鍵在於平時，其實我們學生都希望能講課好，待學生真誠，一定讓學生感受到您的真誠，又稍有威嚴的老師。還有千萬不要說「以後大學的老師怎麼怎麼樣」「長大就理解老師」之類的話，我們很叛逆，我們不愛聽，真的……
