1、value用作名詞時,基本意思是「價值,價格」,指人們估計的一件東西的價值或其交換價值,引申還可表示「用處,益處,實用性,重要性」,指某物有一定的價值,值得人們去珍視。
2、value還可作「等值,劃算,上算」解,有時還可表示數學中的「值」。
3、value常用於ofvalueto sb 結構,表示「對某人有…價值」。
4、value用作動詞的基本意思是「給…估價」,指通過客觀判斷,對某事物的價格或價值作出精準的估計,但不表示權威性或內行的判斷。引申可表示對不太引人注目的事物的高度評價,即「尊重」「重視」「珍視」。
