My experience working for Royal Worchester & Spode in the Debenhams' department store has been the most influential. The up-market company requires a confidant disposition from a Sales Advisor such as myself and a proficient memory in order to ensure proct knowledge is to an optimum standard. I was also given the responsibility to train a new employee which displays the high degree of trust my employers have for me.

My ecational experiences have been of great use to me from a position of form captain in Secondary School to aiding the organisation of mass celebrations in College. Responsibilities such as these have helped me to mature and take my positions seriously so that I am respected by staff. My position of English Prefect in Year 11 required a large portion of my time as I was in charge of aiding the entire English department. My interest in the Italian language has also led me to have an article I wrote regarding the exploitation of women on Italian Television published in 'L'Italiano' newspaper, to which I was very content to have my views expressed.

During Secondary School I also attended evening Italian classes where I was presented with 'The Student of the Year Award' e to my excellent standard of work. The class required me to organise my time efficiently so that other schoolwork did not suffer as a result of my extra GCSE. As a result of these classes and of my Italian parents I now speak the language fluently

Sport and leisure also interests me and ring college I decided to use this interest to do charity work for RNIB where I raised GBP250 and abseiled 120ft down Westminster University. I played Netball for the Harrow Netball Team and competed in the OGI UK Games for the Harrow and Wembley team where I was awarded several trophies and a gold and bronze medal for long jump and javelin.

一、美國大學留學住宿申請

確認就讀院校並繳納定金2-3個工作日之後，同學們會收到學校發來的郵件。該郵件將明確指導學生如何開展下一步工作，其中便包括學校宿舍的申請。請大家注意，即便美國大學宿舍沒有明確的的截止日期，大家還是要盡早申請。絕大多數學校採取firstcome,firstserve的制度，即早到早得。

美國大學宿舍的申請一般在查錄取狀態的系統或另外一個新系統里操作。宿舍申請要填以下幾部分的內容：

(1)個人信息(Personal Information)

學生信息，緊急聯系人信息，美國聯系人信息等

(2)住宿合同/協議(Housing Contract)

長篇大論，主要是針對校內住宿的要求、規定、條件等等

(3)宿舍信息(Housing)

對校內的所有宿舍樓信息的介紹和限定，劃分依據：年級、性別等。由此再進一步細分：房型(公寓或宿舍，幾人間)、樓層、設施、學習區域等。同學們可參考以上選擇自己意向的宿舍，並根據喜好程度進行排列。

(4)飲食計劃(Meal Plan)

在校內住宿，一般都要求學生選擇配餐。一般分為：固定餐和不固定餐。固定餐的價格偏低，一般是自助餐的形式;不固定餐可選性強，但價格較高。申請者也可以選擇中間的部分固定+部分不固定餐。

(5)個人調查(Profile)

主要目的是根據申請者的類型，匹配合適的室友。調查內容：圍繞申請者的興趣愛好、生活習慣、學習習慣等，呈現相應的問題。

(6)選擇室友(Roommate)

分為兩種：已知和未知。如果是已知室友，可以在選擇室友部分，填寫對方的個人信息，並通過驗證、如果是未知室友，那麼室友就會根據以上第5點(Profile)進行系統匹配。契合度越高，越有可能成為未來的室友。系統自動呈現出來的室友，也包括其個人信息。因此申請者可通過查看對方信息，請求對方添加自己成為彼此的室友。

(7)住宿定金(Housing Deposit)

如果要求提前繳納住宿定金，那麼這筆費用只是預交的定金而非全額的住宿費，通常費用在$300-$500不等。全額的住宿費有的大學會要求赴美前交清，而有的大學則要求入學後再交。

(8)申請成功

申請完成之後，會出現最後的確認頁面，可能會提醒宿舍分配時間和開放時間，建議保存備檔。

二、美國大學宿舍費用

條件越好，設施越齊全，價格就自然越高。

一般的宿舍樓：$10000-$15000/年

公寓(套房)：$15000-$20000/年

三、美國大學住宿須知

(1)申請截止日期

一些學校住宿名額有限，並不能保證所有提出住宿申請的學生都能獲准，大多數學校對於住宿名額實行「先到先得」的原則。因此越早申請住宿，分配到心儀的宿舍的幾率就越大。

(2)宿舍分配

宿舍和室友的分配一般是通過郵件的方式告知學生。學生可以提前了解，並與未來的室友取得聯系。

(3)宿舍開放時間

可以通過郵件、重要日期、orientation等方式查看。如果早於宿舍開放之前到校，那麼需要提前確定臨時住宿(或酒店)，直到宿舍開放日才能入住宿舍。

(4)管理人員

住宿都是由專門的宿舍管理員來管理，因此有任何宿舍方面的疑問和需求，都可以尋求舍管。

(5)特別注意

宿舍的 規章制度 絕對不要去輕易違反。如禁煙區就不能吸煙，一旦被發現，就是警告處分。

如果房間內有單獨的廚房，建議不要烹飪油煙太大的菜餚，雖然有抽煙機，但是如果油煙過大，很可能引起警報器鳴響，擾亂集體秩序。

如果室友是外國人，盡量可能做到兩點：

求同存異。尊重對方的習俗和觀念，在認識熟悉之後，也要保持私密空間。

潔身自好。不亂吃亂用對方的物品，尤其是話不能亂說，玩笑不能亂開。

一、飛機進行時

當你還在飛機上時，一般空乘人員會發I-94出入境卡和海關申報單。 I-94出入境卡是美國移民局專用的表格，又稱出入境記錄卡，它包括兩部分，一是入境記錄，二是離境記錄。如果你不了解如何填寫這種表格，一定要請司乘人員幫忙，不要自己隨便的填寫。對於海關申報單有的在出境前填，有的在飛機上才填，這個視出境情況而異。此外，在漫長的飛行旅途中，要注意好休息，以便能在下機時保持旺盛的精力，因為下機還需要辦理一些的手續，因此旺盛的精力也是避免自己犯錯的好 方法 。

三、入境後續事宜

等你過了外籍旅客入境區域後，你就可以到Terminal處領取你托運的行李啦，在領取行李時一定要仔細核對行李號碼，切記不要拿錯了。另外海關稽查人員將會審核你帶入美國的物品，將檢查你的行李，並核對你在飛機上填寫的海關申報單。

如果你隱瞞了需要報關納稅的物品將會受到重罰。所以不要存有僥幸的心理，一定要如實的進行申報。此外如果帶有任何違禁的物品，將會被當場沒收。而且為了方便，入境時攜帶的美元不要超過一萬，不然還會要求填寫表格，會無形中增加自己的入境麻煩。所以只需攜帶少量的必需資金即可。

5. 英語作文申請信的格式

英文申請信格式標准：

1、信頭(Heading)：

包括寫信人地址和寫信日期，通常寫在信箋的右上角。在比較熟識的朋友之間的通信，寫信人的地址常可略去。地址的寫法通常是由小到大，如：門牌號、街道名、市(縣)名、省名、國名(郵政編碼通常寫在城市名之後)。

這同中文書信的地址寫法完全相反。日期寫在地址的下方，可以寫1-3行。通常有下列兩種寫法(a)月、日、年(美式)，如August15,200_；(b)日、月、年(英式)，如15thaugust,200_，月、日的後面用逗號，年份後面不用標點。
